Chapter 6: Ariel's Palace

When I arrived through the portal I, landed on some strange icy planet. For a few seconds, it didn't bother me, but then, the cold kicked in. The wind started to howl (oh wait, no, that was Shadow), and my hands looked like they were blue raspberry Popsicles! So, I licked them. (Note to self: Never lick your fingers, your tongue will get stuck!) And then all of the snow coming down, moved into one, large, transparent barrier of ice. Through it, I could clearly see... A mermaid? " W-wh-wh- where... Is... M-my, f-f-ff friend? A-ai-ariel?" I asked her. All of the wind stopped, and the barrier melted, the mermaid flicked her wrist, and I was wearing a warm winter coat, fuzzy boots, and drinking the most delicious: hot chocolate. "Who are you?" The mermaid asked me.

" I am Queen (apparently) Greenwood of planet.... Uuuhhhmmm..." Shadow barked... And I understood! " Queen Dart of planet Saturn." I replied with confidence. " I have come to find my friends April Greenwood, Ariel Winter Pepto Doom" I told the mermaid.

She looked at me, stunned. "You are Queen Dart?" She asked me.

" Well, yeah I guess so," I replied. "And I really need help, I traveled here, looking for Ariel... And I think I may have gotten lost." I said, embarrassed by my lack of training.

"No... She is here, she has just been transferred to her new palace."

"Palace?" I said.

"Yes," she replied, " she is the Queen of this magnificent planet, Neptune!"

Wow, I had never realized this, but maybe the others have powers too, and we are all royalty! I can't believe it!

"Please, take me to her. We must speak at once!" I said.

"Yes your highness."

The mermaid slithered across the long wasteland of ice and snow, with me following close behind. " Are we at least ALMOST to my sister's palace?" I asked, annoyed with the distance we had already traveled.

"Sister? I thought my Queen, was your good friend!"

"Well, yeah... We aren't exactly blood relatives, but her family took me, and my twin sister in, and then when they died, Ariel took care of all of us... So I like to call them all family." I explained.

"Ah, yes... That is how I think of the other Freezer Mermaids, my name is Floressa, I am the head of security, and the closest advisor of the Queen." She said.

" Well it was great to meet you Floressa... I really don't want you to call me QUEEN... Or YOUR HIGHNESS... Anymore. Please just call me Julie" I told her.

"Yes your highness" she replied

"No no! Just call me- ya know what? Nevermind" I said

"I think we are here," I said.

"Yes, this is where I bid you farewell," said Floressa. I thanked Floressa, and walked up the icy staircase to get to the palace.

It was flawless, and beautiful. I stepped inside, and I saw ice- everywhere. It was like one of those beautiful two story living rooms with a balcony, and a fireplace. But instead of just a regular fire, it was blue, and it gave of white steam. On the top of it all, was a huge, sparkling throne, underneath a delicately crafted chandelier. "Wow..." The sight took my breath away.

"HELLOOOO? IS ANYBODY HOME? DO YOU HAVE A PEN I COULD BORROW?" I yelled across the throne room.

On the throne was a short young girl, maybe a little older than me, she had short, curly, brownish hair. She was casually dressed for a princess, just a dress. When she looked down at me I gasped, her eyes were a brilliant blue. She looked, by the expression on her face, clever, and unbeatable. She was a familiar face.

"Hello Julie..." She said " how was your flight?"

"ARIEL!!!!!" I screamed with glee! " I can't believe it's you, and an ice Queen? You look so different!"

"Thanks! I can't wait to talk to you about this... How did you get here anyways? Where is April?" She asked me a bunch more questions, and then finally took a breath long enough for me to start a new sentence.

" I have magical powers just like you, and I am the Queen of one of Saturn's moon, my new name is Julie (or Queen) Dart. I have a giant pet wolf a big as a horse waiting for me outside, and I have NO idea where April is. I do know that we were all separated on different planets, and I think we ALL have magical powers, and from the look of it you have ice powers. I have teleportation, and magic. I also have no idea where Pepto is either... I am fine, and I got here safely... thanks for asking! So what's new with you?" I said.

Ariel just sat there in her icy throne, processing the big jabble of words I just said.

"You always did have a way with talking too much... ummm, let's see... I am now the Queen of this fine planet Neptune, and I don't know where everyone else is. Oh! And I also have speed powers!"

"Oh, that's great! Now to talk about where April and Pepto are!"

" Yeah, yeah... ummm, so how does your teleporting work, or is there a potion that you can use that acts like a "Pinpoint My GoPhone" app?"

"I don't know about that, but I know how to teleport. That is pretty cool... I haven't learned about the potion making yet... I was supposed to go back to Saturn once I found all of you to complete my training... well, at least start it."

"Well, we need to get Pepto and April first."

"Watch this!" I said as I waved my wand.

"Oh my gosh! How did you do that?" Ariel asked, she was astounded.

"That isn't important right now. Hold on tight, think of April, and... JUMP!"
