Harry.
It was a slow day in New York. I didn't have any gigs for the rest of the month and Kendall was off in Peru or where-ever-the-hell.
So I decided I'll go home and visit my family. I called Gem to get her to come home with me. She's off at university doing whatever she does that makes her too busy. I told her that I was going to surprise everyone and take them out to dinner.
It was a long flight, honestly. It was quiet as well and I couldn't get used to it. I was mostly distracted with my own thoughts, even the random ones, and I couldn't get Taylor and Kendall off my mind.
I couldn't help it. It's been so long since we've ended things, but I feel like there's some unsolved problems that need to be fixed. I can't do anything about it if she is dating some DJ.
But, damm, do I miss her.

When we landed, it was a little earlier than I wanted to arrive, so I went to store and got some presents for everyone. I got some new sunglasses for my mom, along with some flowers. I got a watch and some type of pocket knife set for my step-dad. I even got Gemma a beanie with cat ears.
I gave up trying to kill time and decided to be there a little early. I'll be the better child and get there early. Gem is only a little ways away but she is terrible with time.
When I arrived, I parked my rental car and grabbed the giant bag of presents. I felt a little bummed, for some reason. Like I was happy to be with my family, but I feel like something is missing and I'm upset that I don't know what it is.
"Hello?" I walked in. "Mom?" I yelled throughout the house.
I heard a high pitched scream come from upstairs. When my mom came running down the stairs, yelling my name and all, I set the stuff down and walked to her. She suffocated me in her arms and gushed about how much she missed me.
"Where is everyone?" I asked.
"Who cares?! Come, tell me what's up." She pulled me to the kitchen after I picked up the bags and flowers. While she was putting the flowers in a vase, I filled her in on the happenings of One Direction. I told her all about the tour and the boys. She looked like she really wanted to say something, but when I asked her she just shook her head.
"Is there anything else you want to know?" I asked.
"I'm only worried about your well-being, Harry. If you're happy, that makes me happy." She didn't look at me. She had a happy attitude but it looked like she was holding back still.
I narrowed my eyes at her. She played the innocent card and then huffed. "What happened with Taylor?" She asked.
I rolled my eyes and groaned. "Mom." I looked at her.
"What happened." She demanded.
"We just don't work."
"Harry."
"What?"
"I know it's your life, I'm not trying to control you, but she was....." she looked around trying to find the right word.
That's the hard part. Describing Taylor was so hard to do. She was so many things; talented, beautiful, intelligent, funny, down to earth, dedicated, there were so many words to describe her and I couldn't choose a single one.
"Special." She said. She was looking at me with disappointment in her eyes and a little bit of hope. I didn't know what to do. "I just don't want you to give up so easily. If you really love her, Harry, be with her. Do what it takes to keep her." She said.
"I'm really not trying to lecture you, but you have to understand that what you and her had....everyone saw it. It's what your dad and I had..." she smiled.
"And look how you two ended up." I pointed out.
"That's because we couldn't agree on anything, not because we didn't love each other." She stared at me, almost too desperately. I looked away and then smiled.
"Well-" I stopped talking when my step-dad walked into the kitchen.
"Harry!" He smiled and hugged me. "What are we talking about?" My mother went for it and told him. "Oh yeah, I never got to meet her but your mother described her to be one for the novels." He smiled.
I rolled my eyes again and sat down at the breakfast nook. "I'm sure it's just a little spat, nothing too big to fix." Robin smiled. I picture him as Santa Claus sometimes.
"Yeah and he's not fixing it. He's running away from it. He has another girlfriend already." My mother told him.
"Anne," he warned her.
"I know! I'm not trying to involve myself with his business, but I want him to be happy." She defended herself. I can't believe that they were actually talking like I wasn't here.
"I have to make a phone call." I told them and left the room. I walked outside, going into the woods behind my mother's house. I walked deeper in and then when I felt I was hidden enough, I pulled out my phone.
I was filled with nerves while I dialed Taylor. I didn't know if she'd answer or if she was just going to ignore my call, or push me away like last time.
I didn't know and the anxiety was killing me.
"Harry?"
