Taylor.
"Yeah, hey." He sounded nervous. "Hi." He said with a deep exhale.
"What's up?" I laughed.
"Nothing. Everything's fine, yeah it's- um, how are you?" He was falling all over his words.
"Harry? It's just me..." I reassured him.
"Yeah, sorry. I just didn't know..if," he stopped talking.
"Yeah." I nodded my head. "Um, is there anything I can do for you?" I asked, trying to sound polite.
"I just wanted to hear your voice." I can imagine him smiling.
We stayed on the phone with each other the rest of the night. He was talking to me about small stuff and telling me his opinion on some rumors that have been flying around. I included him on a few of the tracks I've written for an album.
When we had nothing more to talk about, he asked me about Calvin Harris. I got upset because I thought it would just be about us for once and not Kendall or Calvin or whatever.
"Harry.." I groaned. "Can we not talk about-"
"I just want to know, Taylor. Are you dating?" He asked.
"Are you dating Kendall?" I spat back at him. "Honestly, I'm so tired of you acting like you're the only allowed to be in a relationship. I'm not going to wait for you forever, you either grow up now and work with me or we both move on with our lives." I said.
"It would be a hell of a lot easier to-" He said. I got so irritated, I hung up. Even though I had so much to say to him I couldn't listen to another word.
He always pushed my buttons! I can't believe him. I knew it was a bad idea to answer the phone, I knew it would end in a disaster and we'd be damned.
How did we even get this way?

Another week went by since Harry called me that night. Rumors have been coming left and right that he was moving to New York for good, down the street from my apartments, I guess.
I didn't mind.
I truly felt over the whole 'Haylor' situation. I was tired of it. I was still getting hate from fans and people were laughing at our relationship like it was a joke, and while it started out that way, it was real.
I wish he would just come back and be with me. I wish he would grow up and try to think of a future.
I was completely caught off guard when I saw him across the room.
"Why?" I whispered to her. I was with Haim and apparently Danielle had texted him. We were just standing in the lobby of a hotel when he walked towards us.
His hair has gotten long. He looked very thin, like he's been doing drugs but I know he hasn't. His eyes don't sparkle anymore, like the ocean emerald that once was there has faded and is replaced with a forest green. They're still beautiful, but it's not his eyes. They're almost foreign.
"Hey," he looked at everyone and looked at me last. "Hi." He tried a shy smile. I narrowed my eyes at him and smiled myself, which influenced a wide smile on his face.
I felt complete knowing his smile was still the same.
Everyone was talking about nonsense all at once and there was no room to discuss anything as a group.
"What are you wearing?" I heard. I looked up and saw Harry looking at me.
"Are you giving me fashion advice, Mr. Banana suit?" I chuckled.
"Were you at that concert?" He asked, a cheeky smile on his face.
"Nope. You've been turned into a joke amongst the fans." I stick my tongue out at him. He laughed and stared at me for a little while.
A little more went on while Harry was talking. I was fine just listening. I haven't heard his voice in so long and listening to it now, I could do it forever.
Our time was cut short, though. There were flashes through the glass windows and everyone was ready to scatter.
Harry said goodbye and rushed out the door. I watched him walk out, waiting for him to look back at me.
It was selfish of me to expect some special goodbye made just for me. He wasn't for me anymore so I couldn't hope for a kiss and hug goodbye. I was lucky when he said hello in the first place.
But he did look back. He looked at me, too. Of course he didn't show any emotion because of the cameras but I just felt happy knowing he looked back.
