A little while later I was feeling quite tipsy for no apparent reason. I wondered what kind of soda that was. Maybe it was the afterward adrenaline rush of meeting these people, but I felt pleasantly warm and buzzed as I sat there and giggled with the rest of the guys. They were nice. And they didn't boss me around.

I learned they were college kids with some time off and had decided to momentarily crash at the motel before moving on. Luke was the friendliest of the bunch, he kept smiling and making funny faces at me when the others weren't looking

"Let's get in the pool!" a guy named Zack shouted, crushing his empty beer can and throwing it sloppily over his shoulder.

They all cheered in agreement, and began tugging off their shirts and kicking off sneakers until they were all standing there shirtless. I covered my mouth with my hand as I laughed quietly.

The sun had already set and darkness had taken over, dotting the sky with pinpoints of stars. Pool lights had been turned on giving it an aqua glow. It looked extremely inviting.

"Come on, join us Katie!" Luke begged. He clasped his hands together and gave me puppy eyes.

I shook my head, "I don't have a suit."

One of the guys in the pool floated on his back. "Just jump in!" he shouted.

I hesitated, getting uo uneasily and staggering to my feet. I appeared to have a little trouble standing as I stood at the edge of the pool and tried to keep balanced. A little wave lapped up at my toes.

I should be getting back to the room soon. Louis would worry.

But suddenly hands clasped around me, sweeping me off my feet and sending me soaring through the air and landing in the pool. I popped my head up to the sound of laughter. "Luke!" I shouted as he jumped in beside me.

The cool water felt nice on my skin as I swam around, playing games and splashing as more stars appeared in the sky. About an hour later, we were floating on our backs when an arm snaked around my waist.

"How about you come back to my room?" a voice whispered, sending shivers down my back. I glanced over to look at Luke. His hand closed around my wrist and began to tug me out of the pool.

"I can't." I exclaimed, stumbling out after him as he pulled on clothes. Water pooled at my feet. "I need to go back. Louis will be looking for me."

Being on ground again made me dizzy, and the world spun before me as I clung to his bicep. He guided me towards the door. "Come on." he said softly.

But I didn't want to, Harry was still waiting at the motel for me. I had to get back before Louis and Zayn. I struggled to remember where our room was exactly.

"No." I stammered, trying to pull away from him. I felt myself panic as his smile disappeared and grip tightened, tugging me along beside him. I frowned and tried to shake free again. Why wasnt he letting me go? Maybe he was hard of hearing.

"Katie!" a voice shouted suddenly. I turned as the door to the motel flew open, and Louis stormed out. He stopped in his tracks, muscles tense and grey eyes taking in the scene. His gaze followed the grip Luke had and on my wet clothes.

"Louis!" I exclaimed, happy that he could join. "Come over here! It's a party!"

I smiled as he stalked over, pulling me away from Luke and nudging me a distance away, before balling up the front of Luke's shirt. Veins were prominent on his neck as he pulled him up to his face. If he wasnt careful, he was going to wrinkle that nice shirt.

"What do you think you're doing?" Louis growled, his voice icy.

I furrowed my brow as I watched Louis's face. He seemed angry. Why was he angry? Luke had been very nice to me all night, and now he had to come and ruin everything.
