In a Moment
My world is spinning.
I look forward to the end but enjoy the beginning.
It's okay if this love is only a figment. It's okay if we both want something different.
Because neither of us have been consistent.
Not even persistent.
I know that forever was our intention.
But did we even get a chance to live.
What happened to the dreams that we mentioned.
Before I love you was a fad.
Before we weren't everything that each other ever had.
Before I needed you if I didn't want to be sad.
We're getting back to those people that we used to be.
Getting back to the dreams.
Back to no awkward silence and just friends.
Back to the before
Except I'll always need you
And I'll always love you.
Is it possible for us to journey two different paths together?
What does it mean now that forever isn't forever?
It's hard to say goodbye so I think I'll settle for goodnight.
Maybe we'll see each other on the other side.
Maybe we see the same light at the end of our tunnels.
That is if neither one of us gets into trouble.
That is if neither one of us finds another lover.
Even then could we still be friends?
Because between you and I
Our love will never die.
