Killian sat diligently by her side for a whole week while everybody tried to find a way to wake Emma up. He only ever left to use the bathroom, indoor plumbing was his favorite thing in this world, he had food and drinks brought to him. He still hasn't showered, not wanting to leave Emma for that long. Whenever he did leave, left behind his jacket for her to hold on to; it usually worked if he wasn't gone more than 5 minutes.
Emma's feeding tube and IV had been removed, she accepted food and drinks as long it was Killian or one of her family members that gave it to her but she still didn't open her eyes or respond to anything. It was almost like she was under a sleeping curse but she wasn't.
"Okay. So we may have a slight issue." Said Whale, bringing everybody's attention to him. Emma's family and friends rarely left either.
"Is it something with my mom?" Henry asked quickly, snapped the storybook closed.
"No, she still seems to be fine thanks to Hook. It's just that we need to move her to a more long term room since she hasn't woken up yet. We need to keep the machines attached to her to monitor her vitals so it seems there won't be any room for anybody to walk beside the bed." Everyone knew he was referring to Hook.
"Well he has to. Leaving something of his with her only lasts a few minutes." Snow grabbed David's hand and squeezed, trying to calm herself down.
"There is physically no way he can, the bed isn't big enough to fit two people other wise I would suggest he lays in it with her. We have to risk it, we need the space for any patients that come in because believe it or not we have some of those." Nobody appreciated his sarcasm. "We are moving her to the maternity ward which is upstairs, she will actually be staying in the room you had the prince in." He referred to Snow.
"Let's just get it done quickly, if it truly needs to be done." Hook finally spoke up, bringing attention to himself.
There was some more arguing but it simply had to be done, she would give birth eventually even if she was in this strange sleeping state and it would give her her best chance of she was in the necessary ward.
"Okay, ready?" Whale asked. Hook was going to give her not only his jacket but his hook as well, hoping that would give them more time. He would give them to her at the last possible second to prolong their time. "3, 2, 1!" David took off his hook as he got out of his jacket and covered her in it as they started pushing her towards the elevator. Her family would need to take the stairs.
They got up to the second floor before Emma did and paced outside the door, knowing they had to stay out of the way to get her in faster. They pushed her out of the elevator and towards the room, nothing seemed to be happening to her yet. They all piled into the room after Emma and watched anxiously as she was transferred to the bigger bed and a space was opened up for Hook. Emma's nose twitched a few seconds before he grabbed her hand but she seemed to be fine.
"There we go." Whale breathed. "Nothing to worry about."
Killian pressed a kiss to the back of Emma's hand. "There you go, love. That's better isn't it?" Snow kindly helped him put his hook back on and put his jacket back on with minimal contact loss with Emma.
"I'm still mad at you and I still blame you but I am glad you're here since she clearly needs you." Those were the first words David had said to Killian directly since their fight which they were both still recovering from. Killian nodded and gave him a small smile.

The next morning Henry stunned them all awake by bursting through the door, he had gone back to the loft with Snow and Charming last night to sleep.
"I know why my mom won't wake up!" He practically shouted.
"Well get on with it mate!" Hook encouraged. As much as he enjoyed her needing him like this he missed those green eyes and the sound of her voice, even if she was going to scream at him.
"It's the babies." Everybody looked confused so he continued, pulling out the book and placing it open on a table at the end of the bed. "I wrote this last night. It says the babies were upset that their mother was so sad. They also missed their father and liked the sound of his voice. They are products of true love inside a product of true love, that means they are very powerful. They decided to put her to sleep and they were only happy when Killian was near since that's when my mom was happiest."
Everybody thought this over before their eyes turned to Killian who was just staring at Emma adoringly. "Can we have a moment alone, please?" He asked. Nobody moved at first.
"Come on everybody. Out." Mary Margaret started shooting everybody out of the room until only Hook and Emma were left.
"I am so sorry, love. I don't expect you to forgive me; in fact, I hope you never do because that would teach me a lesson for being an arse. But everybody is worried about you, Swan. Even the little ones want you to be happy. Please come back to us." He felt a tear slide down his cheek as he leaned over and kissed Emma's forehead.
The now familiar ring of pure light magic radiated from the point of contact and passed over the whole town. True love's kiss. Killian hastily pulled back, keeping his hand in hers. Emma's eyes fluttered open and she shook her head, blinking hard. Her eyes finally landed on Killian, staring at her like she was the most beautiful thing in the world.
"Killian?" She croaked.
"Aye love, it's me." He beamed at her, watching as she looked around the room and down at herself. She lifted up her injured hand and flexed before glancing at their interlaced fingers on her other side. She flicked her gaze back up to his face and didn't hesitate to slap him with everything she had.
The sound of the slap was enough to bring everybody back into the room, just in time to see Killian stumble backwards and bring his hand up to his cheek.
"Okay, perhaps I deserved that." He grunted.
"You're damn right you deserved it!" Emma's voice was strong again as she crossed her arms over her chest and kept her blazing eyes trained on her husband. "Get out. Get out right now." She ignored the hurt look in his eyes but stopped him from speaking. "You are going to go shower, shave and overall make yourself a presentable human being then we will have words pirate."
He closed his mouth and swept his eyes over her again, making sure she was alright and with him again. "Alright." He said simply and walked out.
Emma flopped back against the bed and sighed. "What the hell happened to me?" She asked her family who were all bursting at the seams to talk to her.
