Luhan POV

During the call with Mikaela, I was already halfway around the country in SM's private jet. I was meeting up with Trevor in time for their daily performances.

I hadn’t told him anything about me going to ask Nessa to go with me to the ball. It was obvious that he was in love with her.

I arrived at the airport at 9a.m. and hurried along the way to the entrance and met with Trevor. I told him that I wanted a part in today’s performance and wanted to surprise the school. He told me I was on for the last song.

We drove to the school without dropping my stuff off at their apartment. I went back to Korea after the last concert we had here and that was only a few days ago.

We reached and I was quickly ushered to the backstage. I was in time to hear Mikaela finish the last note of the song they were just singing.

Trevor took his guitar from the stand beside me, wished me good luck and went out to join them.

I took a microphone from the stand next to the Trevor’s guitar stand and got ready. Luckily I was already wearing decent clothing for a surprise concert.

They started singing and I waited. I hope she would agree to go with me.

Vanessa POV

Today, they were performing three songs. The first song, which was ‘Just Give Me A Reason’, Jordan staged with Mikaela and Julius, whereas Trevor said he had business to do.

The second song, ‘Clarity’, Trevor was back and he was on the main guitar while Mikaela was on the piano and it made the song even more heart-touching than Sam Tsui’s version.

If our love is tragedy, Why are you my remedy?

If our love is insanity, Why are you my clarity?

They ended the song and said there was a surprise guest performing the third song with them today. After they introduced the person and the song, Luhan came out from the backstage and smiled.

Gasps, whispers and murmurs were heard. Every girl was gushing over how cute he was and every boy was eyeing him with jealousy.

“Haha. I know you all must be like, who’s that guy? Well, he’s a friend and he wanted to do something for our school. Isn’t that nice?” Trevor said and smiled to the crowd.

“大家好，我是EXO的鹿晗。我今天是为了一个女孩子而来的。这首歌，是我要送给她的，也是今早才准备的。希望大家会喜欢。(da jia hao, wo shi EXO de lu han. wo jin tian shi wei le yi ge nu hai zi er lai de. zhe shou ge, shi wo yao song gei ta de, ye shi jin zao cai zhun bei de. xi wang da jia hui xi huan.)” He spoke in fluent Chinese, something he doesn’t do when we have get-togethers, because we would normally speak either English or Korean.

“Hello everyone. I am Luhan from EXO. Today, I came here because of a girl. And this song I’m about to sing, is dedicated to her, it was also prepared by me this morning. Hope you guys like it.” Trevor translated the whole thing and smiled to the crowd.

I saw Luhan whisper something to Mikaela, Trevor, Jordan and Julius. I noticed that Mikaela was nodding excitedly while Trevor was nodding sadly. Huh, what’s up with him?

They positioned themselves on the instruments and waited for Mikaela’s signal. Because she was on the piano, she had to nod her head instead.

In 4 seconds, they were playing a song that I would never thought to hear again.
