"Sooooo question number 1-" Bungad ni Jan pagkasakay niya ng kotse habang nagsusuot ng seat belt ang kaibigan sa passenger seat.

Meng groaned. "Please let's not do this."

"UNA SA LAHAT," Pagpaptuloy ng bestfriend niya na parang walang narinig, "Bakit ka namumulang lumabas sa hall kanina?"

"Jan... please"

"Sagot Meng! Sagot!"

Napatingin si Meng sa bintana. Maya-maya pa ay napansin ni Jan na nagbu-blush na ang kaibigan.

"Uy halaaah, anyareeee? May nangyari nga?"

"Pass."

May kasamang impit na ngiti ang sagot nito.

"ANONG PASS? Hindi 'to Pinoy Henyo! Walang pass-pass dito. Ang daya mo; mag-kwento ka Meng! Anong nangyari sa loob? Bakit pulang-pula mukha mo nung lumabas kayo? Anong ginawa n'yo? Ansabe ni Papi?"

"E di ba nakikining kayo sa labas ng pinto? Ba't mo pa ko tinatanong?"

"Eeeeeh! Nung una lang yun! Lumayo kaya kayo sa pinto kaya di na namin kayo marinig. Dali na..."

"Shhhh...." Maine puts on her headphone and leans on her headrest. "Gisingin mo ko pag nasa bahay na tayo."

"HOY! BASTOS TO! Wag mo 'kong tulugan! Magkwento ka na dali!"

"Shh... drive ka lang dyan."

"Menggay, bruha ka, hindi mo man lang inorient na si Papi Alden pala si TOTGA mo, tapos ang drama drama mo pa kanina. Kala ko talaga nabiyayaan ako ng pinakamapagbigay na best friend sa balat ng lupa. Kesyo mas fan ako ng The Wave, mas deserving ako manalo, andami mong echos, naniwala naman ako; yun pala tinatakbuhan mo lang si Papi. Ugh! It's so awkward to call him Papi in your face na. Nebenaman yan. Kasalanan mo to!"

Maine turns her music volume up and tries to drown out her best friend's nagging. She closes her eyes and sinks in her seat as she tries to not think of what happened earlier.

But you know how that goes, the more you try not to think about something, the more it'll invade your thoughts.

"Hello stranger"

She turns at the voice.

There he was, on the other side of the room – looking mighty fresh for a guy who has been jumping around the stage for hours.

He was wearing a white v-neck shirt paired with a black skinny jeans and black vans. His hands are on his pocket, his head tilted down. He is the image of a shy guy but then he raises his head; and there's an excited grin on his face.

She's a little thrown off by the stubbles on his chin and his wild, messy hair. RJ never looked this unkempt.

But his smile remains the same.

Alden Richards looked every bit of rock star that he is but his smile is still RJ's.

She finds herself returning his stare.

"Ano, magtitinginan na lang ba tayo dito?" he teases.

She blinks awake from his gaze's spell.

"H-h-hi", her voice too meek and too shy. Maine cringes.
