Yello! How's everyone liking the previous two chapters! Not many people seem to be reading it because it's been so long since I updated last. I hope y'all discover it's on full swing soon. I'm thinking of finishing the story in about 35 chapters. That's my goal for now. Let's see how it goes.

Elis' clothes choice for the party^.

Read on, you'll know what I'm talking about.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Ari's POV

By the time we were done with class it was already half past four. Eli and I walked to the parking lot in a comfortable silence which continued all the way to the dorm.
I didn't think anymore needed to be said after what had happened earlier.
The minute we'd walked into the classroom Miss Abby was bustling around looking so frantic I thought she'd have a seizure.

"The Board of Directors from the Texas Music Educators Association announced that the top ten schools under the Arts and Music Trust have to put up another show at their Live Arts Exhibition. Since our school is one of it's Trustee's y'all will have two months to practice and perfect a music performance. I've told the other students about this as well. You and Eli have to ring up a team of students good enough to take part in the show. Mr. Portman will be incharge of the instrumental in the show so if you need any help you have the two of us to turn to. I will need the list of all the vocalists by the end of next week. Any questions?"

".... *Queue crickets chirping here*....."

All we could do was gape at her throughout her rant session.

"Oh c'mon! Don't tell me you didn't get all that? I've had to repeat that paragraph four times today" she says, exasperated.

Recovering from my minor stroke I say, "No we did. I'm sorry. It was just so sudden. You really need to work on 'easing into a topic' "
Eli gives me a flat stare and looks at Miss Abby, "What she's trying to say is, she understood whatever you said and that we'll start working on it first thing next week".

Relieved, Miss Abby smiles and then rushes to her desk when she remembers something.
"I almost forgot, these were to be given to you from the night of your performance "

We looked down at the two identical photographs in her hand. It was a picture of Eli and I just as we finished our performance. It showed us grinning at eachother, absolutely content with the moment. This picture felt so special to me I secretly thanked and blessed whoever had taken it.

We didn't realise we were still staring at the picture till Miss Abby cleared her throat.

"As much as I would love to spend more time with you two, I need to get home. My housemate bought a kitten last week and I have to go back in time to give her dinner ".

"Aww! What's her name? " I coo, my heart melting at the very thought of parenting an animal.

"Bella, short for Isabella. Her full name is Isabella 219. My crazy roommate figured, since the kitten is ours and we live in apartment 219 that it would make sense to name her that. I disagreed strongly though. She sounds like a veteran jailbird. Anyway, I've really got to go. Have fun at your friends party!"
She says, grabbing her bag, tying her hair and stacking her books while she talked the whole time. A multitasker like that needs to be President.

I giggle at the name and wave goodbye while she skids to the exit, keys in hand.
We hurry out as well and walk to our dorm.

As soon as Eli unlocks our room door I rush to my cupboard, grab my dress, shoes and makeup. Slipping past Eli I race to the bathroom door.
