Chapter13:

(1 1/2 month later...)

Romona POV:

"Romona where are the beers?"

"You drank them all"

"Then go get me more"

"I have school tomorrow I should be going to bed not being your servant"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!"

"I'm not your servant"

And in a couple of seconds there was blood dipping from my cheek as he slapped me and his wedding ring caught my skin.

"YOU ARE SUCH A BITCH I WISH YOUR MOM NEVER HAD YOU I HATE YOU I SHOULD OF GAVE YOU AWAY WHEN I HAD A CHANCE"

"Y-you don't mean that"

"I FUCKING DO I NEVER LOVED YOU I WISH YOU WOULD OF DIED INSTEAD OF YOUR SISTER"

I woke up startle, that's was the first beating I got after two weeks of me and Hayes dating, my 'dad' came back and since then I've been getting beaten up by him.

The twins get scared and I have to protect them cause a week after the first beating he slapped Zoë once because she came downstairs and saw him beating me up and screamed at him to stopped so now the SD is their hide out/bedroom.

I look over at the clock on my bedside table and seen it was 3:30. I've been having nightmares or not been sleeping for a month.

I get up and get ready for school quickly then grabbed the bags I packed for Zoë and Ziön.

"Zoë, Ziön come on we have to go, grab your shoes quickly and quietly and don't make a sound while your going outside please"

After getting them up and out the door I drive towards the lake it's 30 minutes from the house.

The lake is my granddads lake, It has a lake house and we used to go there every year. My granddad used to live there but now he lives back in Spain.

The key is always in a secret compartment in the mail box and that's where I've been keeping it for a week now.

"Zoë go up to the bathroom and I'll be up in a minute to bath you, Ziön you can watch TV then after Zoë has her bath you can get one okay"

"Okay"
"Okayyy"

45 minutes later we are back driving on the road towards IHOP and then their school.

In 3rd lesson, my phone started vibrating in my pocket and it was Zoë's and Ziön's school calling me so I ran out of class with my bag slung over my shoulder and Miss Wishart calling after me.

Getting to my car, I called them back.

"Hello"

"Hello Romona? It's Mrs Kings it's says to only call you if something happens or anything"

"Yes, that's true what's wrong?"

"It's Zoë she's crying her eyes out and won't let anyone near her except Ziön and she keeps asking for you"

"Okay I'll be there in 5 minutes"

"Okay bye"

"Bye"

Quickly starting my car up, I see the principle starting to walk towards me so
I drive off before he can stop me from getting to my little sister.

10 minutes after calming Zoë down I took her and Ziön home where 'dad' was siting on the sofa drinking.

"WHY ARENT YOU THREE AT SCHOOL?!"

"Go upstairs Zoë and Ziön please"

"We are not at school because they are not feeling good and I thought you are busy so I'll look after them"I said trying to be careful with the words I use.

"Okay, just go get me more beer"

Giving him the last two of the beers I went and got my fake ID and Zoë and Ziön then went to the shop I always go to, to get his beer.

Finally after two hours of him being in the house he went out to the bar.

Getting a couple of movies and snacks I went up to my room where the twins are snuggled up close with each other, I joined them on my bed and turn on Peter Pan, mine and theirs favourite movie.

Two minutes into the movie Zoë asked a question.

"Is he gone?"

"He's gone don't worry your save with me okay?!"

"Okay"

"Romona?"

"Yes Ziön"

"Will he ever stop hurting you?"

"I don't know buddy"

"Oh"

"It's alright though at least he isn't hurting you two that's all what matters"

With that we watched the movie snuggled up eventually they fell asleep so I took off all the make up I have to put on to hide the bruises and got back into bed but I couldn't fall to sleep so I stayed up watching re-runs of HIMYM.

Hello people who are reading this, thank you for reading this not so good fanfic. I hope you like it. I wrote this on the coach to the airport and now I'm uploading it in the airport quickly.
