I stared at the pair of dark brown eyes which were boring into mine. Suddenly the air felt intensely heavy, it became difficult for me to breathe the same air with him so close.

He suddenly let go of his arms around me as he visibly came back to his senses which made me fall down on my butt.
"Ouch! That hurt you idiot! "

He slowly turned back his gaze to me and walked back towards me. Well just when I thought he was going to just walk past me, he picked me up suddenly over his shoulders and carried me to when of the chairs , and put me down gently.

Why does he do such confusing things at the same time? A moment ago he just let me fall on my butt and now he just gently made me sit down on one of the chairs? This is just so confusing...

"I'm sorry " he mumbled and left to go back to his group.

Oh my........

Did Aiden Knights just say 'sorry' to me?! Well that's new. I just wish if he would have just said a year ago...

As soon as I turned my attention from him and met Catherine's , well she was probably burning in flames of jealousy by now and that made me smirk at her....
What?!?!

' Take that smirk off you idiot ' I kept on telling myself but just seeing her like that couldn't make me take off my smirk. I looked at Diana and saw that something was glittering in her eyes, anger and something else too, hope? No way, no, no,no,no,no....
"Diana, I think we should leave if you're done. " I said.

Her same calculative eyes as her brother's looked too far away from earth. I shook her to bring her back to reality, "Earth to Diana..! " I shouted in her ears and she just took hold of my hand when she came out of her reverie and practically half- dragged me out of the cafe.

Coming out of the cafe I somewhat managed to loosen her grip and stopped her.

"Diana,stop. What is going on in that silly head of yours ?" I said.

"Vic, just shut up for for now and follow me, I need to tell you something I think I should have told you earlier..."she said.

"Okay, let's go to the park and then we can talk it out. " I looked at her suspiciously and answered.

We went to that park we used to go when we were in fifth and tell each other our secrets. We took a swing each and started swinging in a comfortably awkward silence.

Inside I was just wishing for this something that Diana is going to tell me about is not about Aiden. She just wouldn't start the topic so I finally gave up to my curiosity.

"So tell me, what is it that you wanted to tell me? " I asked her while she took in two deep breaths before she started, I don't think I will like where this going.....

"Aidenwantsyouback" she said in one breathe and so fast that I almost couldn't hear what she said. Thinking of what she said......
What the f*ck?!?! What!!!

"What did you say? " I may have heard wrong right, right?

" Aiden wants you back. " she said each word carefully. Why on earth would Aiden want me back?

Whatever his reason might be, this time I won't give into him, no matter what. I think I should warn him to stay away from me.

Diana was looking at me expectantly, hoping for me to freak. But she has to get it that I have changed a lot over a year. I managed to smile a little and said, " let him try. "

I got up and told her a goodbye before turning and heading towards my house. It was already past eight when I reached my street and was about to turn for my house when suddenly a hand grabbed me from behind and dragged me behind a tree. I tried to scream for help but it's other hand had covered my mouth to prevent any kind of noise.

I hit and kicked but nothing would loosen it's grip. Who was it... I wondered as sweat trickled down my forehead.

"Stay still, I just want to talk to you, okay? " Him! His voice alone made me realise who it was. I somehow felt a bit relaxed but still couldn't get the fact as to why would he do this.

Aiden. With all my power I elbowed in right in his abdomen making him grunt in pain and loosen his grip on me. Finding this as an opportunity I got out of his hold started pacing forward in a rapid speed, but to my badluck he was faster than me as again a hand caught hold of my wrist making me jerk back towards him.

My body was very closely and tightly pressed against his, too close for my discomfort. We both were panting hard, after some time he said,
"Victoria, just listen .....to me..... for a minute, will you ...?" He said while still panting .
"Just let go of me .....and I ...... I will listen to you." I told him still uncomfortable with just an inch's distance between me and him.
He slowly let ho of my wrist and I instantly moved back to make a comfortable distance between. He smirked looking at the way he affected me. In any other situation I would have just smacked his face, only if the situation was different........

"Speak. " I grumbled, I was already late to go home. Mom would be so worried....

"Listen, I don't know why I feel like this but, can't we be friends at least? I don't want to stay away from you anymore, please. "He looked at me with those same puppy eyes as his sister's. No way in he'll was I gonna say him yes.....even if I internally was feeling good that he wants me back. But no, I'm not desperate here....and I need to show that to him.
