Aiden's POV

I couldn't believe it! How could have I been so stupid?! I just f*cking assumed things and never talked to her.

When she told me her part of the story, I felt like I am the biggest dolt in this world. I know, things that are done in past can't be cured now as the wound is already deep. Jee, I sound like a pussy!

I , Aiden Knights, agree that I am the biggest fool on earth..!

I didn't even talk to her after that, I went on ignoring her. And after hundreds of messages and call being ignored by me, she kept her life simple and closed. She even f*cking called me even when she me saw with her. It is all my mistake. Idiot!

Present time.....

It's been three days since she told me and I guess a bit ignoring me. Well, but me being me I won't let her ignore my presence. *evil smirk*

We were all gathered at our assembly hall as our principle had just called an important announcement.

The hall was getting sweaty and it was uncomfortable. The weather was really hot today.

" Ok, so students, we have a good news for you. The school will be having a one night camp and it is mandatory, on a beach. The school teachers will take care of the other details for you. And yes, it is on next Friday. " the students in hall started hooting and whistling.

We went back to our classes and I was so bored already. And next & last is maths, so I guess that'd be fun. As it is with her.

I just entered the room and searched for one person in particular. The girls in the class were oogling me, not that I mind it. After a while, I finally found her.

The seat next to her was empty, and that gave me all the more chance to be near her. Why?

Woah! That question took me off guard. I think I should sit somewhere else. Will talk to her later.

I walked past her seat, she looked up, her eyes somewhat relieved. I sat at the last bench, next to Catherine. She looked at me and started off her work, flirting with me.

The lecture was partially over when one of the staff member came to tell us that the teacher was absent and so we can leave early.

Everybody rushed out while Catherine kept sticking to me like aa leech.

" Catherine, I'm telling you, leave me alone. "

It was getting irritating now. She just looked at me, utterly shocked. And so did someone few benches ahead, I saw Victoria. She too looked between me and Catherine before turning around to leave.

I left Catherine and ran out searching for her.

Victoria's POV

I was walking down the hallways. Too frustrated by my own actions. I just needed some ice cream to cool myself down. I don't understand, why do I get affected if Catherine... stays with him or not? I mean it's been a year and now that we've cleared everything out, I guess we should move on. No, I should. He already did, maybe.
Urgh...

But instead by knowing the whole new truth, I feel more for him. I think-

Someone took hold of my arm and turned me around. I saw Aiden, confused, I also saw Catherine coming behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and I swear, if only looks could kill, Catherine would now be lying dead on floor. That's the worst glare I had seen on his face. He gave her a disgusted look and she immediately moved away and walked out. Not before giving me a glare. Not that I was affected.

" Umm... How are you going home? " he asked.

Well, Diana was going to drop but she still has her lecture going on. Not knowing what to say I gave him a 'don't know ' look.

" Do you have any plans for now? " he asked.

" Nothing as such.. " just as I finished saying that, he grabbed my hand and ushered me towards his car.

" What are we doing? " I asked.

" We, are going for an ice cream treat." he said.

" oh... Ok. " I looked at him, surprised was an understatement for what I was feeling right now.

We sat in his car and he drove us to the nearby ice cream parlor. I ordered my favourite chocochip and he took the same.

We were just having our ice cream, sitting on a nearby bench when he got a call.

" Hello? " he answered.

I don't know what happened next but he suddenly got up and went somewhere else, telling me to wait. I continued eating my chocochip.

After a while, he came back. He looked a bit stressed so I decided to ask him.

" Is there something wrong? " I asked looking at him.

He looked at me and like, in a second his facial expression changed and he smiled. I raised my eyes in confusion to which he shook his head and pointed his index finger, I guess, towards left side of my lower lip.

" You've got some chocolate there. " he said.

I tried to wipe it out but ended up empty handed. So he came closure, suddenly I felt self-conscious. He observed my face and then my lips.

I think he was trying his best to control his gaze but it was again and again going towards my lips. He licked his lips and came even more closure and soon we were just inches apart.

Just when I thought he was going to dip his head down, he slowly brushed his thumb over my lip, making my breathe hitch. After awhile, when I thought hours had passed even though it was just seconds, he backed off. Going back to his place.

I breathed out a sigh, silently relaxing a bit. There was some awkward silence for a while, before my phone chose to ring. The caller id said it was Diana. I showed Aiden the screen and he just shrugged.

" Vic, where are you? Is Aiden with you? How come you guys left me alone! That's not fair. Tell me-" Diana kept blabbering.

" Ok! Ok! Just quite down tigress, we're coming. " I said looking at Aiden, who shook his head a 'no ' and gestured to call them here, to the ice cream parlor. " No wait! Yes, Aiden is with me and you guys, I meant you and David come here. Were in our usual ice cream parlor, come soon. " I said, grinning when I said David ,I knew she would be blushing.

She agreed said she'll be there in 20. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Aiden looking at me so I turned around.

" Who called you earlier? You seemed a bit annoyed. " I genuinely asked.

" Nothing that interesting, my aunt is going out so I have to babysit her baby girl. Plus, Diana is going out with her. And I dont-" before he could finish, I did it for him.

" And you don't know how to handle a child, I know. " I said, laughing but at the same time feeling pity for him.

" Maybe I could help. " I said those without even thinking and my eyes almost widened at what I had just said. Aiden's eyes lit up on hearing that and he smiled.

" Sure, my place at 7. " he said.

" Well hello ! Care to miss us? " a voice came and I turned around only to roll my eyes at Diana grinning like an idiot.

Why did I even offer that?! Urgh...
