Victoria's pov

Is he....is he..... kissing me ?!

I know I shouldn't say this, but to my little disappointment, he isn't. His lips are just brushing on my lips, but why? He tilted his head just a bit as if to deepen the ' kiss ' and that's when I saw Nick behind him, just some steps away.

Finally it all clicked together , Aiden was all but trying to piss off Nick. And as he planned, Nick really looked pissed off and went. Just as soon as he went, my eyes flickered back to Aiden's lips, which were slightly and gently pressed against mine.

" Is he gone? " he asks me, pulling back a bit. I nod my head a ' yes '. Then he awkwardly moves back to an arms length.

" Come, I'll drop you home. " he brings out his hand in front of me to take and I just stare at it for few seconds before taking it.

We walk out of the house to his car. He pulls open the door for me and shuts it, then gets in himself. We drive in total awkward silence before he breaks it.

" Hey, I hope you didn't mind what happened earlier....... it was just to shove him off. " he said, obviously feeling embarrassed. I looked at him and nodded. Definitely not wanting to speak as I could still feel the sparks.

He dropped me home. I was very keen on not making a single noise while getting inside and up to my room. The party and all the drama had me tired up to every bit of my body. But still I lazily went and took one nice shower. The top which Diana gave me was neatly folded and kept in my cupboard.

Coming out of the bathroom, I changed into my Mickey mouse T-shirt and shorts. Don't judge me though, we all love Mickey. And came back to my comfy bed. All the events rushed like a slide show in my mind and soon I was in deep sleep.

I woke up at my usual time, and was in the showers in five minutes. My hair was wet so I dried it and tied it in a messy bun , but I couldn't find any elastic band so I just put a clip to support it. For cloths, well, I was deciding to wear one of my skinny jeans and some loose top but , the weather forecast was showing that it was gonna be pretty hot today, so ended up wearing a high waisted pink and yellow floral skirt that reached just inches above my knee and a yellow crop top. Applied some mascara and lip balm and I'm ready.

I went down and saw mom in the kitchen. " Hey mom, morning." I greeted her and kissed her on her cheeks. " Morning. " she replied and kissed my forehead. She had made pancakes with extra pepper in it. I looked at her gratefully, she knew just what I want, of course because my mom. So I ate it fully and left the house not forgetting the goodbyes. As usual, Aiden was waiting for me outside but was talking on the phone so he hadn't yet seen me.

And idea hit me as I saw the car keys still in the car and he was a few meters away from it. I quietly but quickly went and sat at the driver's side and started the car. The sound of the engine made him turned around and finally rest on me. At first , he looked confused and then the realization hit him. He wants to drop me? Lets see if he can catch me first. I pressed the accelerator and the car jolted ahead. " Victoria, stop! " I heard him yell and saw him from the rear view, God he looked as red as tomato. " Stop, Vic. The brakes don't work. " he yelled again and this time I got panicked. The brakes don't work? I pushed hard on the brakes and jerked forward as the car came to a halt. He said that the brakes don't work, but they are working perfectly fine to me.

I was so engrossed in sorting out everything ,that when I did, the door was been opened and I was pulled out of the driver's seat. I looked up at him to see him smirk at me in victory. That jerk, he said it purposely so that I would apply brakes to try and stop the car. That freaking smart jerk..!

" Gotcha. " he winked and I just rolled my eyes.

" At least I made you run a street. " I said and stick out my tongue. Being mature here.

" Whatever, get in now, we wouldn't like to be late to school would we? " he asked me in his perfectly flattering smile. I smiled an overly sugared smile to match his sarcasm and sat on the passenger's seat.

We arrived in school and entered together. I saw Catherine and was about to leave when Aiden grabbed my hands in his and pulled me a bit closure to him, as I could feel him tensed. I stared at him, wide-eyed and looking confused.

" Hey baby ." Catherine came hugging him while glaring at me. She moved back and saw our hands clutched together and gave Aiden a look. He just stared blankly at her, or rather what was behind her. I followed his gaze and finally saw what - or rather who he was glaring at, Nick.

I looked at him and the moment our eyes, his eyes coloured dark. Well that made me cringe in horror, but then they changed into a pleading ones. I looked away and turned to Aiden. Catherine looked confused about all this, she was still eyeing our hands. Seeing that ,I struggled to ease out of his hold , but stopped when Aiden shot me a warning look. Why does he even care? I thought to myself. I scowled at him as the crowd was now paying full attention on us. I didn't mind attention, but at this time, no way.

" We're getting late, should go. " I said pleading to him. He nodded and finally we left for our classes.

Aiden was always beside me, full rest of the day. Well of course, except when I had to go to restroom, he would wit outside. Geez, I was starting to feel awkward and somewhat angry and frustrated.

Why is he doing all this?

I decided to ask him as soon as I walk out of the restroom. Yes, I will.

I walked out of the restroom and saw him leaned back against the wall opposite to the restroom.

" Hey. " I said and he looked up. He was about to say something when I interrupted him and decided to ask it, " Aiden, I want to know what us the reason for you to come back to me. What is the reason for you to behave like this . What is the reason for you to care for me so much. Please tell me." I looked at him with pleading eyes. He just stared at me for what felt like hours even though it was just few minutes before saying, " Come. " he brought up his hand for me to take and I took it more eager to know for the reason this time .

We went towards his car and he drove us towards a place i knew, because it was the same place he used to take me to spend our time.

Whatever the reason may be, this time I can't get emotional and give into him.

There are so many questions that I want to ask, so many from before. So many questions, that have left an empty space in heart when he........

Not now Vic, now you need to know what's wrong going on,what is it that you are not able to see.
