Victoria's pov

" Hey man." That guy said to Aiden.
Then he looked at me and said, "Umm, hi I'm Nick. " he smiled and put his hand forward for a handshake. I took it hesitantly and let go as soon as possible. He sure had good abs, just by the way they looking from his tight white shirt, but not more than Aiden's and good looks too, but again not more than Aiden's...........what?! Stop it Vic!

"And you are....? " he asked.

" ohh.... I'm Victoria, you can call me Vic. " I said, breaking out me-comparing-him-to-Aiden mission. He nodded and looked back Aiden, they exchanged some silent conversation and then Nick finally went.

I was pretty freshened up after my maths class. After the class was over, I packed up my bag and went towards my locker to see a sick Diana. I instantly hugged her and asked her about her health.

"Its nothing just a little bit of nausea that I was having. " she said.

Thats when I remembered........

"Why did you send Aiden to pick me up? " I asked.

She looked taken aback. And said, "I didn't. He just told me to take rest and come at lunch to school today morning. " something's fishy.........

"Okay...." I trailed off as I saw Nick coming towards us with a grin on his face.

" hi again. " he said , to which I nodded.

" Umm, would you like to have lunch with me? I mean you can bring your friend too, I don't mind...... " he asked.

I looked over at Diana who showed me a ' go ahead ' sign. I pleaded her silently to come with me to which she nodded and said," sure I would like to come with you guys -" I smiled, relieved and was about to thank her when she added, " but I had missed my first lectures so I need to catch up on them. " she completed and grinned at me. That bitch...!!

And so that's just what happened. Nick and I went to the nearest cafe to grab some croissants for me and sandwich for him. We talked a lot and I realised that he wasn't that bad a company. He cracked lame jokes and asked me about my favourites and all.

He was asking if he could drop after school, to which I agreed. He came to my locker where I was keeping books and we we're just leaving when a hand caught my wrist. I turned around to see a pissed off Aiden. What's his problem?

"I'm dropping you. " he said and practically dragged me till the parking even after my endless protests. How dare he?!

" Stop Okay. .....what is wrong with you? " I exclaimed. He didn't answer and just closed the car's door and walked to his side. He didn't even talk to me during the whole ride. I finally gave up asking what was wrong with him. Maybe he is jealous of Nick... an inner voice said. It may be, but why would he be jealous if he doesn't even like me?

My thoughts trailed off as soon as we were near my house. He stopped in front of my house, not saying anything. We just stayed in silence for a while, just staring at each other, his eyes were trying to tell me something that I couldn't get. Finally I said, " I should go. And please, you don't need to pick me up, I can go by the bus and .........anyways thanks for today morning. " I said. He just nodded and looked outside the window. I got out of his car and into my house.

Next morning I was hoping for him to not come , but he did. He seemed to be in a better mood. That somehow made me too, feel good.

We were having different classes, so we- actually he decided to meet me for lunch. It was as if everything was getting back to normal. I was having my maths class first. I was sitting in my seat and the seat beside me was vacant until someone came and sat beside me. Nick. I smiled at him as he did and so the class soon started.

Nick is really good as a person. Its really stupid how his annoying jokes would make me laugh. Well I must say my day was going well.

After class Nick asked me out fir lunch but I told him that I had to go with Aiden.

" what? Why? I thought you guys don't like each other......... you know by the way you guys look at each other. " he said, his shocked expression soon covered with a normal one. Doesn't he know?

I just stared at him. What should I do? Tell him? .....well he is a friend, right?

" He is my....... ex boyfriend. " I said shyly. My fingers knotted together, I started down my feet, not wanting to look up.
" Well that explains......." he trailed off, soon a smirk formed his handsome face.

"What? " confused, I asked. He just looked at me before saying," Nothing, I mean, that's why he too stays away from you. " he said. I nodded slowly. Something was wrong......

"Okay, I gotta go then. He must be waiting. " I said and turned to leave.

Aiden was already there, waiting for me. I went with him for lunch and I must say it was good, I felt sweet and warm.....just like the old days...an inner voice said. My cheeks felt warm when I caught him staring at me. We looked at each other and I swear I could feel something growing inside me, but before I could recognise it, he broke our stare and looked everywhere but me. It was comfortable with him, again. We talked and then my phone chose to ring. It was Mom so I picked it up and said that I'm out so , will be late.

The rest of the afternoon went just like that, talking about here and there. I wish Nick would be here too. It would be fun.

He dropped me home and left. I was so tired from talking and eating, it didn't even take me a second to fall asleep. For some reason I dreamed of him, his handsomely sexy features zoomed in.

I was interrupted when my phone rang just somewhere near my ears. I jerked up to see whose it was and saw Diana's name. It was 11 p.m.

"Diana, do you know what time is-" I could not complete my statement as she interrupted.

"Aiden's been in an accident, Vic, I don't know whom to call, mom and dad are both out on an office tour. Can you please come?" Her voice rang in my ears and now I was fully awake. I told her that I'd be there in ten minutes and hurried up.

When I reached her house, it was already eleven thirty . I opened the door as I already knew where the spare keys would be. I went inside but it was too dark. I thought that maybe she left to the hospital. Just as I turned to leave, there was a loud cracking noise and suddenly the lights turned on and everyone started cheering. What.......is this...? Party.
