chapter 15

Victoria's POV

I look at the two ladies standing in front of me with an excited expression on both their faces.  Well inside I was burning with embarrassment.  Beside me,  I felt someone chuckle,  I looked at him with a fixed glare that made him shut up.

Idiot!

" You! It's all because of you! " I whisper-yelled at him.

He just shrugs and gives me a wink before getting up. He offers me a hand to get up, and I take it anyway. I get up and go to the kitchen where both the ladies had now gone to.  Aiden left to his room.

It was great that it was Sunday,  cause I was really having a bad backache. The position in which I was sleeping wasn't very comfortable after all.  I got up and walked over to Diana.  My sometimes-irritating-bestfriend.

" Hey,  when did you come back? " I asked looking at her.

" We were late at night.  Amelia wanted to have some drink so went to the pub nearby.  But when we came back,  it was late and we both were tired. You both were asleep and I too was feeling sleepy so I didn't do anything at that time.  You know,  I gave you some space..... " she said,  wriggling her eyebrows at me while saying that,  and as usual I just rolled my eyes.

" Hey,  Vic " I turned around upon hearing my name and smiled to the person.

" Hello,  Aunt Amelia. "

She just waved her hand at me and said, " Please,  no need to say 'aunt',  you that makes me feel older than my age. " I nodded and reached out to hug her.

" So....... Aiden and you are together..?" The moment she said those words,  I felt some one tense beside me.  I glanced around to find Aiden just step in the kitchen. 

" No!  Amelia... " I was speaking but was interrupted when someone wrapped their hand my waist and pulled me to the side.  Surprised,  I snapped my eyes up to see Aiden look down at me as if it was nothing wrong.

" It's okay,  Vic.  Amelia won't tease you much.  Yes... Amelia,  we are in a relations-"

" And the players gonna play, play, play, play, play.
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.
Baby I'm just gonna sha-"

"What the hell... never are you ever going to lose that habit.  " he interrupted my song,  well Taylor's song. " But really Shake It Off.... Like you couldn't get any other song?  Someone's being.... horny. " he continued,  wriggling his eyes, a smirk growing on his face.

If only real steam could come out of my ears,  it would explain how profusely angry and embarrassed I was.

He put his hands up in mock surrender and said, " Sorry,  no guys it's nothing like that. " but in the end it turned into a serious one.

Why do I feel hurt?

It was kinda expected right?

And you don't feel anything anymore?

" Earth to Vic! " Diana snapped her fingers in front of me.  She didn't look pleased by my state and asked me to stay for a while. But I knew I don't want to stay,  so she offered to drive me home,  to which I nodded. 

" Hey,  you okay? " she asked once we were settled inside her car. 

" Of course I am,  why wouldn't I be okay? " I asked,  playing it cool.

" Well,  after what Aiden said about..."

" Yes,  I'm fine.  It's true right.  Not like I get affected by him anymore. " I said looking out the window.
