Unexpected Journey

Terror strikes

All of the friends find themselves in a majestic clearing in a random forest. Knocked out from the flash at nearly the same time they all awaken also at the same time. They all look around at the world around them: the tall healthy trees, beautiful flowers, fresh river of water, and even the animal calls sound impossibly perfect. The grass is soft and the wind is calm. Everything seems at peace and well.

"Is," Autumn says with a pause afraid to ask, "is this heaven?"

There are no words spoken. No one knew the answer. That question was the least of Hannah's worries. Genna stands to her feet marching over to Hannah in a blind fury.

"What were you doing back there?" Genna presses, making Hannah almost stumble over herself in confusion and fear.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Hannah fires back trying now to press Genna for some information that will take the heat off of her.

"What else could I be talking about?!"

Isaiah steps up "She's right you were really weird back there"

"Look all I remember up until now was that we were playing frisbee and I fell over."Hannah snaps, but seeing everyone's faces she calms.

"Then what am I supposed to believe we all saw it!" Genna is enraged at what she thinks must be a lie. "Was it a- just a"

Autumn steps up at Genna's discomfort "Calm down I'm sure that..."

"Don't you think I'm trying!?" Genna screams.

Genna is huffing and puffing. It's obvious that she is crying but, every tear that runs down her cheek disappears. The surrounding air get noticeably warmer. In minutes Genna's head burst into flames and everyone reacts. Marla stumbles down backwards scooting away and strangely a wolf appear in front of her in attack stance toward Genna. Autumn crosses her arms up to protect herself and beautiful vines don't just spring up like wildflowers, but with them too. Isaiah turns away and giant storm brews directly overhead of all and nowhere else. Hannah shields herself by pushing her hands out in front of her and water streams itself to Genna extinguishing the fire. Genna opens her eyes to see what has become of this perfect forest world around them, and the others follow, but it doesn't stay like this for long. As they all relax the world goes back to normal. The water slumps to the ground getting absorbed by the soil. The dark storm twist away back to a clear blue sky. The vines in front of Autumn somehow seep into the ground. The wolf calms and trots away into the forest. Even the strange heat is gone. Everything is how it should be.
