“Why, hello humans.” The strange voice called.

Erin and Andrea turned in unison to find a dark figure that was just a little taller than them.

“Don’t be too afraid, yet, I just wanted to see you,” it continued as it smiled sadistically, “see your reaction to a powerful being such as myself.”

They stared for seconds that seemed like hours until Andrea gulped, “Powerful?”

Erin did the same, “Yet?” she said at the same time as Andrea.

“That is right,” The stranger said, “I am powerful and soon enough you will have a reason to fear me.”

“And that reason will be?” Andrea asked boldly.

It laughed, “Soon this world will be mine!”

“Like humans, let alone americans would let that happen,” Erin remarked, “I don’t think anyone could do that.”

It then grew a distasteful face and scoffed, “Wow you really are all the same, you're just like her.”

“Who?” Andrea said.

“That girl,” he pointed in the direction back to the clearing,  “the one with animal abilities, the one you all call by the name of Marla.”

Erin started to lighten up, “You know Marla?”

“Why yes and she knows me, but I am infamous in her mind”

“How?”

The stranger said nothing but instead he summoned a sword into his hand. Seeing magic again they tensed up. They started to back up, soon they realized that they will run out of land and fall into the current and take them into the small cave where they would almost surely die. Knowing this Andrea grabbed Erin and made a start to the forest. The force caused Erin to scream, and it reached the clearing where the others had heard. Worried for their safety everyone went into panic.

“Oh, shoot!”, Marla yelped.

“What do you mean oh shoot?”, Hailey said with worry, “Where’s Erin?!” she said now realizing that her sister was gone.

Marla started in the direction of the scream. Worried that the shadow from before came back. She also didn't say anything knowing the others wouldn't believe her. However, Hannah and Autumn quickly followed while Isaiah zapped away to look for them faster. Genna stayed behind just in case danger came to the others. She wanted to protect her friends just in case.

Back where Erin and Andrea were running, they were soon confronted again by the shadow figure wisping away to stand tall in front of them. Andrea stopped causing Erin to crash into her and the both fell down. Andrea, while trying to get up or at least off Erin, fell into the current. With the sudden change of surroundings she couldn't catch herself or swim against the water. Andrea went away with the current.

“No! Andrea!”, Erin screamed while trying to grab her, “You… you!”

Erin got up and turned to the beast that killed her friend. He put his sword up and walked toward her. Erin got more and more scared of what might come of this meeting each step she took back.

Scared for her life she mumbled, “Please don’t…”, Erin was interrupted by a flash of yellow light.
