Under My Skin

Liam POV  -June 23rd-

The party was in full swing, at least a 200 people were gathered in Simon Cowell's backyard. A white tent was put up, with tables and food, and all around was fairy lights, it was beautiful really. Looking around i saw only a few unfamiliar faces, everyone else stopped and chatted with me. I could spot Niall by the table with food, Zayn was with Little Mix (which i swear he has secretly joined) his arm wrapped around Perrie's waist, Harry was leant against a tree with fairy lights hovering over him, and Louis was waiting for El to arrive (which Cassie would be joining her). I was chatting with Matt and Aiden, talking deeply about the latest things and business related advances. I felt a tug on my arm, and a soft "Li?" I recognized her voice, and turned to glance at the young girl whos hand was like a vice grip on my arm. Her hair was pulled into a half updo, and what was hanging around her shoulders and face was curled perfectly, her lips were accented with pink lip gloss, and she had black eyeliner and gold eyeshadow. Her dress was subtle in make, not low cut and had short sleeves and came around mid thigh, but what made it stand out was it was a metalic gold that complemented her pale skin. She had gold drop earrings, a gold necklace she always wore, and gold bracelets. Finally she had on black high heels, and needles to say I was taken aback by how gorgeous she looked, and kind of wondered if this was the same girl i dropped off at Eleanors earlier this morning. She released my arm, and took a step forward, but stumbled in the process. I grabbed her waist, not tearing my gaze from her face, and she scowled a little, "I cant walk in these darned things!" She growled in frustration, and my head threw back in laughter that no one but me understood. Yes, this was definitely still Cassie. I stabled her, wrapping my arm around her waist to make sure she didnt fall flat on her face, "You are so uncoordinated!" I chuckled, "You look great though, really." I sent her a genuine smile, and she bit her lip and blushed.  I pulled her to my side, turning to smile at my friends, "Matt, Aiden, this is Cassie. Cass, this is Matt Cardle and Aiden Grimshaw." She graced them with a smile, "Hi.." She turned back to me, "Where are the boys?" She asked, innocently her green eyes twinling in the fairy lights over head, "Niall is at the food bar, Zayn is with Perrie, Lou is with El, and Harry is being a Hermit." She laughed shaking her head, "Well Im going to go say hi," "Can you make it there?" I asked with a smirk, and she smacked my shoulder and rolled her eyes at me. "I think so, but please come pick me up if i fall, and come to my funeral if i break my neck." I nodded, a smile on my lips,  "Will do." And with that she waddled away, quite focused on making it there in one piece. I watched as she approached Zayn, Perrie, Jade, Leigh-Anne, and Jesy safely, and watched her talk to them for a moment before she waddled off again, returning my attention to Aiden and Matt. 

"So...' Matt started, watching the girl i had just taken my eyes off of. "That your new girl?" I chuckled and shook my head, "No, No. She's probably my best friend as of late." "Ah.." Aiden nodded, with a slight smirk, "So feelings are only platonic?" I pursed my lips, my brow furrowing, "Yes, of course." "Hmm.. so it doesnt bother you at all that she's dancing with the new guy?" "What?"

Cassie POV

I stumbled from Liam, one step at a time trying to reach Zayn without damaging myself. I finally reached the raven haired band member, who had his arm tightly wrapped around Perrie, who looked stunning as always. "Hey Z." I smiled, tapping his arm, and he looked slightly annoyed until he saw me, and a smile came across his face, "Oh! Hey!" He grinned, and released Perrie to wrap his arms around me in a hug. I returned the gesture, and released him after a few seconds. He immediately returned to his girl who was watching in amusement while lightly chatting with her band members as well, "Hi," I muttered to them, and they all smiled, Jade pushing a piece of her dark hair behind her ear, "Hello, whats your name?" "Erm, Im Cassie, Im Liam's friend." I smiled trying my best to be confident, and keep my footing. "Oh, well its nice to meet you!" Perrie chirped, hyper as always and i returned the smile, surprised when her thin arms wrapped arund my waist. I smiled into the hug, and squeezed back, "Well, I really should be going. Have 3 other idiots to say hi to." I laughed, and Zayn chuckled with a nod, "See you?" Perrie asked, hopefully and i nodded, "Of course."
