Liam POV 1 Week Later -June 18th-
I watched as the boy's piled out of the van before me, pushing and shoving eachother as they pulled their hoods over their heads as rain pelted on them. I chuckled and shook my head at their childish antics, "Get in there guys!" I yelled over the rain, and i didnt miss Louis' eye roll as he whispered something in Harry's ear, pretty sure about me and probably included some rude unnecessary words. Niall of course was the first in the restaurant, Nando's calling his name as he claimed. I pulled my dark blue hood up as i stumbled from the car, and through the glass doors after Zayn. I watched as harry shook out his curls like a dog, and Louis scrunched his nose in distaste as Niall laughed and Zayn kept his eyes trained on his phone, texting Perrie i assume, because we all know he wasnt on Twitter. Niall ordered our usual, as the other three headed toward our usual table in the back so we werent noticed as much, and i followed. Louis slid in first on the booth to the right, and then Harry and then me. Zayn sat on the right side of the booth, and Niall when he returned would sit beside him. This was our usual arrangement, and as the Doncaster and Cheshire lad chatted enthusiastically, and Zayn blocked them out, I looked around just to make sure we werent spotted by any fangirls. I saw an elderly couple in one booth in the middle, but the young girl who had a chin rested in her hand staring out the window at the rain drops caught my eye.
I wouldve recognized her anywhere, and I watched as she fiddled with her straw. Niall returned with the food, passing us our usual and keeping everything else for himself, but even then i watched Cassie. I could tell she was dreading walking, considering it was raining, and was buying her time in hopes it would let up. "She's cute, huh?" Harry's voice mumbled slowly from beside me, but i chose to ignore it, and watched as the young girl brought the straw to her lips. She sucked on the plastic, and then her forehead wrinkled in annoyance. She tried sucking again, and pulled back with a huff crossing her arms. She glared at the cup and i chuckled a little just watching her as she looked from the cup to her plate that still had food on it, annoyance and frustration on her face. Most people would assume she was angry she was going to have to pay for a refill, but, considering of waht i learned of her these last 2 weeks I know thats not the case. I knew her well enough to know money wasnt a problem, but instead she just really didnt want to get up. She was bad about that, and would avoid moving at every possibility. I saw her sigh defeatedlt as she realized she couldnt eat all of her food without a drink, and she turned her body to push out of the chair, and those green eyes landed on me. A grin pulled at her mouth, showing small dimples, and i returned the smile. I heard Louis groan out, "Great, your incessant staring has attracted a fan girl." I rolled my eyes at him, but i knew thats probably what she looked like smiling like that. But i knew that smile, it wasnt one of excitement (That was strictly used for when i told her id get her something to eat) but instead a smile of fondness. She bit her lip, what she always did when she was unsure, and i could read the question in her green orbs, so i nodded with a reassuring smile. NOW her smile was of excitement, as she skipped to the table her brown hair bouncing behind her with every step, the beanie on her head falling back slightly. She approached the table, and I saw Harry's skeptical look, Zayn's soft smile, Louis' mischevious grin, and Niall's mouth was covered in chicken as he looked at the girl with his wide blue eyes. She ignored them pretty much, her eyes trained on me, or so i thought, "Hey!" She chirped, leaning forward her arm reaching past me.
I watched with curiousity to see where her hand went, and I groaned as she gripped my cup of water and took it into her small hand and sipped on it, before her face turned into a scowl, "What the hell is that?" She asked, and I frowned at the curse word, taking the drink from her hands, "That is water. You should try it." I stated, annoyance clear in my features but my eyes were sparkling with amusement much like her own. "I just did try it, LeeYum, and i didnt like it." "Well maybe you shouldnt be going around stealing other people's drinks, Cassiiiiiiiiiiiie" She pouted her green eyes becoming larger, and I chuckled at her innocent appearance,"Sorry, love. Take a seat." She looked hesitent, her eyes flitting to the now curious faces of the other's, "Do you guys mind?" She asked politely, doubt in her features, "Not at all, take a seat." Zayn shot ehr a warm smile, and she nodded, sliding in next to Niall. She turned to face me, "Hey Li, you know I love you right?" I let out a sigh, shaking my head, standing up, "I'll go do it." She smiled brightly, "Mountain Dew!" She called after me, and I turned back to look at her with a roll of my eyes, "Like I didnt already know that."
I returned with her food and drink, and found that she had already sparked up a conversation with Harry, and was excitedly talking with her hands. The boys looked slightly amused and overwhelmed by the talkative girl, much like me when i realized she was actually outgoing once you got past her shell. I wonder why she opened up so easily to them. "And then- Oh! Food!" She exclaimed as i slid the plate in front of her, and I rolled my eyes at her enthusiasm but smiled fondly at her. I repositioned myself beside Harry, as Louis stage whispered to me, "Is she even allowed in public?" Cassie's eyes glanced from her chicken to Louis, her eyes turning into playful slits, "Getting REAL tired of your shit, Tomlinson." She bantered, and I couldnt contain myself, "Cassie!" I scolded, and she sighed and pouted, "But he brings it out in me!" She whined, pointing to the feather haired lad who look at me with an innocent smile, but like Cassie's when she did something she knew was wrong. And I huffed, turning to my food, before Niall asked the question they all wanted to know, "How did you meet?" He asked, eyeing Cassie's chicken, and she handed him a piece before sighing dramatically, "I was alone and cold and-" "Whatever she is about to say is in no way true." I cut her off, as i bit a piece of my own chicken nonchalantly, "You dont even know what i was about to say!" "Was it true?" "Well.." "Exactly." "Couldnt have played along even for a minute?" She huffed, and I smirked, "Couldnt act like a normal human, even for a minute?" She rolled her eyes, crossing her thin arms,"You tell it then, allmighty story teller." I stuck my tongue out at her, and i didnt miss the looks the other four exchanged. I hardly ever acted this childish, but it was hard not to with how innocent she was, "Pretty much what happened is I didnt see her while she was walking on the sidewalk, car splashed her with water-which she looked like a soaked rat-" "Hey!" She smacked my arm and i shot her an innocent smile, "-took her back to my place, got her cleaned up, took her home. A week later i saw her at Starbucks, and it went from there. Anything you would like to add?" I asked her, and she nodded, "Sexiest soaked rat you've ever seen, Singer Boy."
