Liam POV ~3 Days Later~ -June 11th-
The door to the Starbucks chimed as I opened it to let Cassie inside, she passed with a muttered thanks, and i followed letting door fall closed on its own. Cassie bounced to the counter, excited over the smallest things, occasionally looking back to make sure i was still behind her. She leaned against the wooden counter as a girl with blonde hair around Cassie's age approached, "Hey Cass!" She chirped, and Cassie grinned, "Hi!" "The usual?" "Um yeah," She turned to me, her green eyes seemingly piercing me, "Li, what do you want?" She asked, her voice sweet, "I'd like an iced coffee please." I told the blonde, hoping my glasses and hat would be enough of a disguise to not be recognized. The girl raised an eyebrow, looking me over, slightly making me nervous before turning back to Cassie, "Who's this?" "Liam, My friend." "Darnell won't be happy," The girl tutted, and Cassie scoffed, "But i don't answer to Darnell, now do I Tali?" She hissed, annoyed and the girl raised her hands in defeat, "Still." With that, she scurried off to get our orders. I turned to look at Cass, her face was in a scowl of annoyment, "Who's-" She cut me off with a sharp tone, "Drop it." I was slightly taken aback by the growl, but nodded. Soon the girl -Tali- returned handing us the drinks and giving me a once over, "Well," She said, her eyes still trained on me, "He's hot. I approve." Cassie groaned, "Just a friend Tal!" She hissed, and the girl shrugged with a sheepish smile, "Whatever." I handed Tali the money, and Cassie smacked my shoulder because i wouldnt let her pay.
Cassie pulled me to the window seat, a blush on her cheeks, before she sat down, her knees under her and turned toward the window so she could see out. I sat on the other end, away from the window with my feet on the floor so i can't be recognized from passerbys. Cassie sighed, taking a sip of her hot chocolate, "Sorry about that, Liam. Tali is something else." She laughed softly, and I smiled at the sound as i took a drink of my beverage, "It's alright, I get told i'm hot every day. And much more." I chuckled, and to no surprise i recieved a punch to the arm, "Don't get big headed." She giggled, rolling her green eyes. A comfortable silence settled between us as we sipped our drinks, and it was nice to be able to sit with someone i had only known for a few days and be able to be completely comfortable and at ease around them. After about fifteen minutes though, I heard Cassie shuffle hurriedly, and before i could even glance at her I felt air being blown over my ear as she whispered from right next to me, "Start acting like my boyfriend within the next 15 seconds or I'm burning your Toy Story DVD's." I turned to look at her with wide terrified eyes, but she was already cuddling into my side. I didn't move, just stared, until she shot me a glare and i quickly wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling her into me. She laid her head on my chest, and i swear I felt my heart get ready to jump out of my chest. I ran my hand up and down her arm unconciously, trying not to think about the fire going through my finger tips. She sipped on her hot chocolate as if she totally hadnt threatened my most valuable possesions, and as if this wasnt completely wrong. Soon i heard the ding of a bell, and I felt her tense against me, and I followed her eyesight. In had walked a tall boy, blonde hair falling into his eyes, and even from here i could tell he was one who wouldd be popular just because of his looks. He walked to the counter, ordering from Tali, and then his blue/green eyes shot around the room looking for something, or someone. His eyes lit up when he saw the girl i was holding closely -out of force, I might add- but a grimace set on his features as he looked up to see me. It was a cold stare, his strong jaw locked, and daggers were being shot out at me. I felt uncomfortable, and began to squirm a little, but Cassie looked up at me, her green eyes apologetic and warm. I felt her lightly began to rub soothing circles around my back with her hand, and my heart began beating at a thousand mile per minute, and I know she could tell, her head was laid right on my heart. I looked down at her, suddenly feeling at ease about the guy, but torn up about something else. Her hair fell in her eyes a little, and just now i noticed in her brown hair was caramel and light brown highlights with occasional blonde. I realized her face was sprinkled with small acne because of her young age, and i noticed her eyes werent just a plain green as she looked up at me. I had noticed from day one, her eyes changed color, from a dark green, to a piercing green, to a mint/grey green. Right now it was piercing, my personal favorite, because of the gold around her pupil, the specks of dark green, and around the very edge was a dark almost black green out line, with forest green being the main color. Needless to say, her eyes were unique.
My observation was cut short, by someone clearing their throat, and me and Cassie both jumped a little at the sound. Cassie turned her head to look at who had so rudely interupted us, and a fake smile graced her lips. Her hand gripped my shirt tightly, as if she was trying to make sure i didnt leave, "Oh, Hey Darnel." She smiled timidly, and it all clicked. I glanced up at the boy, his eyes leaving lasting impressions on my brain. He wasnt even looking at Cassie, but was to intent on burning me with his eyes. He was a good looking guy, and I felt slightly intimidated, not by his stare, but his looks. I shook that from my head, I mean what the hell? Im not competing. "Hi, Cassie, who's your..friend?" He asked, lightly glancing at the girl who gripped my shirt with no mercy, she looked up at me and smiled a warm smile almost as if reassuring me, "Oh this is my boyfriend, Liam." His stare got even angrier, which i didnt know was possible, "You never said you had a boyfriend." "You never asked." She shrugged, and he looked taken aback, but nodded, "Fair enough. I'll see you then?" He asked her, ignoring me completely, and she nodded a little, "Yeah, yeah. Bye." She waved him off. With one last glare he turned on his heel, obviously fuming, and left the shop. Cassie pulled away, and resumed her position as she had been before. I shook my head turning to her, "Care to explain?" She sighed, running her hand through her hair, "He's got this massive crush on me, and no matter what i say the little shit won't leave me alone. Excuse my language, but my lord." She groaned, rolling her head back against the wall. I nodded a little, "Oh alright. Ready to go?" She nodded, pushing herself off the couch and throwing her cup in the trash, and i did the same, following her out of the store. We began walking to my car, and i remembered something. I slapped her shoulder a little, playfully. She jumped, turning to me angrily, "What the hell?!" "That was for Woody and Buzz!"
