"Vic, you ready for sound check?" Tony asked.
I looked up from my phone, "Yeah, hold up, let me send this." I said.
"Who are you texting anyway?" Tony asked, sticking his own phone in his pocket.
I gave him a look, "Who do you think?" I asked.
He shrugged, "I wasn't aware that you didn't have any other friends." He teased, walking outside.
I'd been gone for three days now, and had texted Michelle all day everyday, and called her every night.
She wasn't feeling much better than she had been when I left, but she assured me that it was just her missing me.
I'd never had a girl miss me so much she got sick.
I walked outside, "So Mr. Popularity, who were you texting?" I asked, playfully shoving Tony.
"My sister." He said, laughing.
"Oh." I said.
Tony smirked, "Yeah. Marisa." He said.
Awhile back, for like two weeks, I had a fling with Tony's little sister Marisa, and they'd never let me live it down.
"Tell her I say hello." I said patting his back with a smile, and walking off.
I walked out onto the stage for sound check, and got a look at the huge stadium, and tried to imagine, though it wasn't hard, the whole stadium being packed to the brim with fans.
I loved that about my job.
Tony's phone dinged in his pocket and he smiled goofily.
Probably making jokes about me with Marisa.
"Let's go." I said.
He put his phone back in his pocket and we started soundcheck.
After we'd sound checked, we all went and did our own thing.
I tried texting Michelle, but got no reply, and figured she was napping, because she'd finally gotten Madi to sleep.
She said that since I'd left, she'd had hell getting Madi to go to sleep. She said Madi missed me as much as she did.
When I walked in the bus, Tony was sitting on the couch and Mike was asleep on the other couch.
"What's up?" Jaime asked.
"Not a damn thing as usual." I said sitting next to him.
"How's your girls?" He asked.
"They both miss me." I said shrugging.
"That's awesome. I wish I had a girl to miss me." He said.
He'd been single for almost three years, and hated that the rest of us had girfriends.
"You'll find someone dude, it just might take you awhile, Mike, after all these years has finally found someone. Tony, well he and Steph have their rough patches, but I'm sure they'll be back together before long and me, well I've had hell trying to be happy. But I finally am." I said.
"I don't know. Steph was pretty heated about Tony cheating on her, said she couldn't believe he'd do that, and even more so who he did it with. She said she'd never forgive him for that." He said.
"Does anyone remember or even know who the girl was?" I asked.
Jaime shrugged, "None of us knew her apparently, but Steph knew who she was. She was livid to find out about it." He said.
