So Melodramatic, But It Turns Me On.

Tony.

Today was the day.

I'd been planning it since the day Adam was born, two weeks ago.

Michelle was standing in the kitchen, Madison on her hip, cooking lunch, and Adam was down the hall asleep.

Vic, who'd been staying with us to help out with Adam, was out with Marisa for the day.

Madison was glad to finally be able to sit in her mother's lap and hug her without having to dodge her belly.

Just like I suspected, Michelle shrunk back to her tiny size.

I was sitting at the table scribbling on a piece of paper.

I was still trying to decide how I was going to do it.

This was the biggest question in my life, and I was about to finally ask it.

I had to be brave and just do it, my fear of rejection hadn't been this intense since I was in high school.

I wanted to ask her in our home, with just us and our kids.

I went into our bedroom and found the ringbox, pacing the floor for an hour with it in my hand.

"Babe, the food is done." Michelle said from the doorway.

I turned around, "I'll be right there." I said.

I put the box in my pocket and went to sit at the kitchen table.

We had homemade soup for lunch.

"You look troubled babe, something wrong?" Michelle asked, wrapping her arms around my neck.

I smiled and shook my head, "No, I've just been thinking."

Here it goes, Tony, don't screw it up.

"What about?" She asked.

"A lot of things. You, me, the kids, the band, life in general." I said.

"And how's that working out for you?" She asked.

I sighed, "It's working out really well, actually. I've made a few decisions." I said.

She looked confused, "Like what?" She asked.

"Like the fact that I love you, I've loved you since the day you told me you were having Madison, and I'm sure I'm going to love you until the end of time and eternity.

I know that nothing makes me happier than to be here with you, Madison and now Adam.

My life wouldn't be complete without you guys.

I want to be 99 years old, deaf, bald, toothless and blind and still be arguing with you over who's the better Ninja Turtle, because I love you Michelle." I said.

She smiled, tears already rimming her eyelids and kissed me.

"Donatello." She whispered.

I laughed, "That's debatable."

She laughed too.

"Michelle, I know that our relationship didn't form on the best of circumstances, but that doesn't make me love you any less. And since I'm sounding like a sap, I'll just get to the point." I said reaching in my pocket and kneeling.

"Michelle Marie Turner, I love you very much, so will you do me the honor of being my wife?" I asked, my voice barely shaking.

She smiled through sobs of joy and bent down to kiss me, "I thought you'd never ask." She whispered, hugging me.
