17 - UNWANTED

"Mikelson's a painter and owns a lot of galleries but his main one is located in Manhattan" Paul said. I decided not to attend classes today. I realized I don't have to take everything serious especially my purpose is to connect with my mom and not to be the A+ student. I can always study whenever I want to but seeing Mikelson is not common. Plus, this can decrease the number of lies I say. I can avoid interrogations and I will also have progress.

Paul drove me to his gallery which is One Art in Manhattan. Just one question and i'm off. That's my cue. That will determine if I have to step out the border line.

"Where's Mr. Green?" I asked the woman in the counter. She examined me first. "In his office. What do you want?" she asked. "Can you schedule and appointment? It''s best if I can meet him right now" I said. He dialed a number in the telephone. "Mr. Green, someone wants to see you, should I send her right away?" she asked. After a few seconds, the man from another line answered. "Sure"

I was walking towards a huge door which I believe is Mr. Green's office. My mind began saying stuffs that I don't really want to hear. What if he doesn't want to tell the truth? What if it's not really her? What if he lies to me? What if he scare the hell out of me? I should start thinking about possible events that might happen later so I could be completely prepared. I don't want to stutter in front of him. I want to b straight to the point in every sentence I say. I don't want any seconds wasted. When I walked inside, I immediately took a seat in front of his desk. I realized that Zac resembles his father more than his mother. They're both serious looking guy who looks neat and has a neat haircut. I wish they're not completely the same or i'll end up feeling awkward or worse, sad. I just want to look formal.

"How may I help you?" He asked nicely. "I'm Shantel Flinn, and i'm here to ask you something and I hope you answer it honestly" I said.

"What is it?" he said.

"I know this is too personal but where did you met Mrs. Green?" I asked.

"Oh I didn't expect a girl to be interested in our love story" I just let out a small smile. He chuckled.

"Maybe"

"We met in Dublin because of my father. He said she's alone and sick, that's why we took care of her"

Finally! Just what I wanted to hear. I just need to do something to get to her. There should be a way on how I can get to her.

"Why did you ask?" He asked. "Nothing, i'm just a big fan of yours and Mrs. Green" I lied. Because of what I just said, he toured me around his gallery. I just acted to be interested just so he could believe in me. Wait. What if he tells this to Zac? That guy hates me big time and he'll start suspecting that i'm a liar.

"Can you please don't tell this to anyone? It's kinda embarrassing" I asked. "Sure" he said and smiled. He's such a cheerful man. What will happen to him if I get my mother back? He have this cheerful and jolly side of him which makes me guilty in taking Mrs. Green back to ours.

After that, I went to the DANY for practice. Raphael wasn't there yet and also Carl so join Mikee instead. After a few minutes, practice has begun. We went to our position and our coach's teaching us a new song which is Bubble Butt. After a few minutes, Raphael and Carl came in late with Jiro and some guys. Apparently, they're with Kenzo. I tried to ignore him but I noticed that his eyes are fixed on me.

"Alright! Great! Time to take turns! Shantel, you're up!" Our coach said. It means one is in charged to be on the stage to dance. Why now? I cried inside my head. I don't want Kenzo watching me.

The song has begun and I did my best to get rid of him in my mind. After a few rounds of the song, coach decided to end our practice earlier. She said she has an announcement to make.
