It's been weeks since my first day and I'm getting along with almost all the people especially Zac, Jake, Mary, Patrick and Lyla. There's a bit tension between Mary and I because she still acts cold towards me. I really want to ask her but I never had the guts to. She's always this silent girl.

"Hey! Shan! Please teach this to me! I only have ten minutes" Lyla cried. She's cramming right now and I'm the kind of friend who doesn't encourage laziness. Suddenly, my heart became softer as I see myself teaching her some. I explained everything to her until someone dragged me by my arm and took me to our classroom. It's Zac. "We're late" he complaint. I looked at my watch and he's right though the teacher's not around yet. I tried to calm myself by closing my eyes. I suddenly felt a warm breathe in front of my face. I opened my eyes and Zac is inches away from me. I leaped in shock.

Zac's sweeter each day. He's the smart, athletic dude who loves to hang around me. He drags me every time we're late. He teaches me Math every afternoon and vacant. He always ask me to watch his soccer games every friday and even his practice games. He always have time for me but he's not clingy. He's also not showy because whenever we're around each other, it's like we're not friends because he kept his serious face on every time. I don't always see his smiles which is sad. I always insert effort just to put that smile in his face and most of the time, I succeed. Even though this closeness of us is too much, I never felt a spark. It's like I knew that we should just stay friends. In short, FRIEND ZONE. Yeah. I did feel sparks sometimes but they always end up with friend zone signs. I just don't want to be bother, surely I'll feel so much awkwardness between us.

"Shantel, why don't we hang later at your place?" he suddenly asked.

Zac didn't know that I'm a Wilder even though we're considering each other as best friends. This is the first time he insisted to visit my place.

"What? Why?" I stuttered. If they visit my place, they will surely know that I'm a Wilder. My place has too much information and leakage is not a very good idea.

"Today's Friday and it's the last day of our periodical test" he said.

"I have never visited your place even though we're really close" He added. I'm really sorry.

Suddenly, an idea came up to my mind.

"Uhm okay" I said and smiled. I immediately went to the bathroom to contact one of dad's workers.

"Julian, I need a temporary place. My friends are visiting later and my condo shows too much informations. Send me the address later"

The day's almost over. Zac came to me and offered me his help with my books. It's Friday and I'm taking all my books at home to review. Patrick, Lyla, Jake and Mary are coming over too. Julian already sent the address and he even sent a ride for us. We went in and in just fifteen minutes, I saw my substitute place. It looks really big. I hope they won't notice that there are no pictures of me or something that would make this house more like mine. It's mostly white and the details are brown. I immediately went inside to check it so I could act that it's really my house.

"Wow. This house is so big. By the way, what's your father's job?" Lyla asked curiously. I looked at her surprisingly. I didn't expect any questions like these, and I'm not prepared to talk about my personal life. Good thing, Julian came in and smiled at us. He disrupted our conversation.

"Hello, Ms. Flinn and friends, do you need anything?" Well, that added more suspicions for them, I thought. I tried to brainstorm.

"Uhm everyone, this is my uncle, Julian and he's my guardian. My dad's working in business industry" I explained, trying not to look stuttering.

"Oh"

"I don't remember any Flinn in the business industry that's big time" Mary suddenly said. I was shocked. Does she knows? What do I say? According to what I remember, Mary Reeves is the daughter of the two great business owners though they're still below my dad. I think that's the reason how she knew all of that.
