Chapter 1 : Meeting her at last!

Hello world! Do i need an introduction? I am Francisco Gaudencio Lupe Belardo Mañalac but known as "Bamboo" People call me the rockstar maestro. Well i"m not here for business,.. okay maybe i'll try to mix both my job and the things that i needed to do. I took a bath, wore a plain shirt, maong jacket, ripped jeans and my favorite sneakers. Got my car keys, hop in and drive my way to Solaire where the contract signing/press conference will be held. I am going to be part of The Voice Kids. When i found out that Lea will be one of the coaches, i instantly called my manager to tell the management of tvk that i am interested and hope they'll give me a chance to be in it and luckily they agree.

I park my car in the basement and when i was about to step out, i saw the one and only Lea Salonga, the broadway diva, tony award winning actress, disney princess and the pride of the Philippines. You all know her. For a second i thought of running after her and introduce myself but i stay seated telling myself to relax, calm down and not to look too eager to meet her... there's time for that.

My eyes are glued on her as she walk her way to the elevator with her assistant by her side. She's wearing a maong/jeans dress. Oh what a coincidence, i have my maong/ jeans jacket with me. It meant to be.. I stared at her beautiful face, she's way prettier in person than on tv, no wonder she got the attention of my sister's husband which switch me back to reality on my purpose why i'm here. i am following her in all of her socail media accounts from twitter, facebook, instagram even tumbler but using a different name of course and i find her very opinionated, not afraid to speak her mind, a smart ass indeed! but you think her life is an open book? well, you're all wrong! this woman knows how to hide her own dirt.

After i saw them went inside the elevator, i immediately step out of my car not wanting to be late cos i'm a professional but i waited for the next one. It's a little early so i take my time. There were fans outside the conference room. Autograph here and there then excuse myself and proceed inside. Press people and a few fans are gathered inside the venue and my manager Pancho greeted me with a bro hug and a knuckle bomb and ushered me to my chair. Luckily i am seated in between Lea and Sharon who gave me their warmest smile.

The producer of the show welcomed us, the three coaches and started to read and sign the contract. I didn't bother to read it. i immediately sign and stared at the woman on my right which prompted one of the reporter/press to ask a question.

"Coach Bamboo, napansin ko lang po ang lagkit ng tingin nyo kay Coach Lea. crush mo ba siya?"

She chuckled while i divert my attention to the one who asked the question "Yes, she has been my long time crush and i can't believe i'm sitting next to her" everyone cheered after my remarks.

follow up question po "Are you single?'

"yes, i am" Then someone shouted Leboo Leboo!!

"how about you coach Lea, are you single?" the reporter asked. and that question made me look at her intently, waiting for her answer that made everyone gushed on the way i look at her. maybe they thought it's romantic.

she jokingly said "secret" then flashed the sweetest smile... "In all seriousness, i don't meddle my personal life & show business. they don't go very well. So i am not admitting anything nor denying but i am happy single or not."

"pero if ever na single ka, may pag asa ba si Coach Bamboo?"

She was about to answer pero inunahan ko siya. "Hey guys, spare her from embarrassment. We just met. We'll take it from here.. one step at a time." she looked a me and mouthed "thank you!'"... in my head i was like 1 point Bamboo.

"Ako ba hindi nyo tatanungin?" Sharon said that made everyone in the room laugh cos the attention for the past few minutes were all focus on Lea and Bamboo. "

Sharon has been a great addition to the show. She's very accomplished but down to earth woman that made Lea and Bamboo excited as well. The conference ended with photographs for their respective magazines or tv shows to promote the show and a few fans who were given a chance to have their picture taken along with the autograpg/meet & greet.

Lea stood up first and bid her goodbye to the staff.. then embrace Sharon. I shook Sharon hand as well telling her how happy i am to have met her then kissed Lea on the cheek that made me blushed a little. She seemed in a hurry. She pulled her phone from her bag and read messages i guess. She's too preoccuppied and hurriedly got out of the venue. Just a few pictures with fans are rendered telling everyone she's sorry and needed to go.
