Chapter 37

Nakatulog na si Lea sa byahe ng maramdaman nya na may humaplos sa kanyang mukha.

"hon, we're here"

I scrub my eyes and look around. Nandito na pala kami sa harap ng bahay ko.

He smiled at me and handed me a paper bag with containers of food.

"Rob, what's this?" i know na pagkain ang laman but i still asked

"Your dinner. I didn't wake you up kasi ang sarap ng tulog mo kaya nagdrive thru na lang ako so you can just eat it once you've woken up or when your home. I know you're stressing out. Sorry if nakadagdag ako sa problema mo"

"You made it harder for me. You know the feeling where you wanna hold on to something that you love but not yours and the only option is to let go?" i hold his hand, he nods.

"but i don't want to let you go" he said with tears in his eyes.

"you have to.. We have to.."

Rob touch Lea's cheek and was about to kiss her when someone suddenly knock on her car window. He rolled it down only to see an angry Bamboo.

"pare baka pwede ko ng makuha soon to be WIFE ko?!" with sarcasm obviously.

Rob went down and go to Lea's side and open the door and usher her out.

"Thank you for this day Rob"

"anytime.. I am always here for you, do remember that and pls eat your dinner" he whisper something to her ear so Bamboo won't be able to hear "don't let that asshole ruin your appetite"

They both smile.

She kiss rob's cheek before saying goodbye then walk to her door without looking at Bamboo. On the other hand he just followed Lea inside the house.

"So san ka galing? It's 9pm! Hindi mo man lang ba naisip na naghihintay ako sayo dito?!"

Dinaanan lang siya ni Lea.

"Bambs, pls not now. I'm tired"

Bago pa siya malagpasan ni Lea ay hinawakan nya agad ang braso nito para pigilan.

"wag mo akong dinadaandaanan! San kayo galing ha?! Sa langit ba???"

She rolled her eyes and remove his hand from her arm.

"Lea, ano ba?!" he's shouting already.. Baka nakakalimutan mo, fiance mo ako. Wala kang karapatan makipaglandian sa kahit kanino lalo na dyan sa ex mo!"

She stop at tinitigan ng masama si Bamboo.

"first thing first. Did i tell you to wait for me? No! At hindi ako nakikipaglandian. Maybe it's true na ang magnanakaw takot sa kapwa magnanakaw! You are the one who's still flirting with an ex not me. And fiance??? Don't be too so sure.. I might cancel the engagement. I've been an open book to you at ikaw, i don't know you well"

"open book? Really? I'll ask you again. If it's between me & Rob, sino pipiliin mo?"

"here we go again. I already choose you right? What else do you need from me for you to believe?!"

"marry me, now" he seriously said.

"now is not the right time for that" as she continued walking.

"you just went out with him then what? Nagdadalawang isip kanaba? Ano ba pinakain nya sayo at hindi mo siya magawang bitawan?!"

"You want me to be honest?"

Nilapit nya ang mukha nya kay Bamboo at tinitigan ito sa mata ng hindi nakurap.

"Because i had love him and maybe still loving him but i am trying to give you everything that i have and everything that i am but every time i will try, i always end up hurting. You as well can't let go of your ex. She's always there like a shadow, haunting us" i feel the sincerity & sadness in her voice and expression.

He badly wants to tell Lea to go back to Rob sa inis nya but he promise himself and his sister that she won't let her have her happy ending.

I hold her hand and let her sit on the couch with me.

"i am sorry babes. Nagseselos lang naman ako. Kalimutan na natin sila. Let's start anew. Walang Solenn, walang Rob. Just the two of us. I badly want you to be my wife. Pls pakasal na tayo next week. Sa west lang muna, an assurance for me na akin ka lang. Then we can plan the church wedding"

"Why can't we just wait for the church wedding? What's the rush?"
Nagtataka nitong tanong dahil parang nagmamadali masyado si Bamboo.

"para wala na akong kaagaw sayo"

At the back of his mind, he don't wanna waste any more time. Pakiramdam nya maagaw nanaman agad sa kanya si Lea at babalik kay Rob. His plan is to tear them apart and make their lives a living hell... The wedding should happen soon... Very very soon.
