It has been two days since the first time Ashton taught me German. Since then he has been helping me out during classes and I have to admit that he does a pretty good job of it considering that I can barely concentrate. I seriously think that I have that problem. The one in which a person can't concentrate on a particular thing for a long time. What is it called again? ADHD, I guess.

So anyway, on Sunday as soon as Ashton left Alex came in barging through the door practically roaring to tell her everything that happened. I then dictated her my entire experience leaving out the part where Ashton told me about his father. He didn't ask me to keep it a secret but I felt as if he had trusted me with something important and I wanted to keep it to myself for now.

As expected she squealed with delight when I told her about how I chased Ashton and ended up falling on him. I still became flushed at the memory. Alex said that he was flirting with me but was he really? Well I for one, who has no experience in the dating department, cannot answer that question.

I was pondering over this standing beside my locker when Ashton came behind me and surprised me. "Hey," he beamed.

I was startled but I quickly regained my composure. "Hey," I replied back.

"So I was thinking that we could do the German work today instead of Sunday." He said.

"What, the project one?" I questioned. I didn't know the language much less do a project in it. I was doing a lot better in it but I still couldn't start the project. And besides we still had about a month before we had to submit the project.

"No, I was talking about tutoring you." He supplied.

"Oh," I was relieved. I didn't have any plans for today and school was almost over and I didn't have too much of homework so I could probably manage that. "Yeah that'd be fine."

"Come over to my house this time?" Ashton asked.

"Ummm... I don't know the way. And I came to the school with Jake and I don't have a vehicle." I said. It wasn't like I didn't own a car. But I just thought that 21st century called for carpooling owing to global warming and fuel emission. I could probably turn into an environmentalist. Or a conservationist. Or whatever.

"I can take you there. I can either pick you up from your house or we can go directly right after the school ends." Ashton offered.

I hate to be trouble and calling Ashton to pick me up would exactly cause that. "We should probably go right after school ends."

"Great then. I'll wait for you." He said before walking away.

It was my free period so I decided to go outside and get some fresh air.

Coldwater high had a school building which was very obvious. Besides that they had a soccer ground where weekly soccer matches took place between the team of Coldwater high and teams from other local school. This was the place where students generally flocked during their free periods and when they decided to ditch classes. The teachers didn't mind as long as the student passed with a decent grade.

I too decided to go to the bleachers. I'd have walked home but since I had to Ashton's place I decided to stay. I spotted Alex sitting there and decided to join her.

"Hey, where has the bride-to-be been?" She smiled obviously enjoying teasing me.

I chose to ignore her comment and instead said, ditching classes, "I'm sure your mother wouldn't be too happy to hear about it Alexis."

"Don't you dare call me that." Alex made a horrified face.

"Why? You keep teasing me about Ashton even though there is nothing between the two of us." I fired back.

"There soon will be." She said and then checked her phone which had just vibrated in her bag. Then followed a string a profanities.

"What happened?" I questioned.

"Mike is a creep and he keeps messaging me." She said running a hand through her hair.

It was my turn to tease her. "Maybe he just likes you." I grinned.

"Ha-ha, nice try, I know for a fact that he is dating Amanda so that just makes him a pervert." She rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Anyway, what are you doing this weekend?" I asked her.

"Spending the day in pajamas. Why?" She answered.

"I wanted to go novel shopping. I've read all that I have and I need a partner."

"Don't you have to study German with Ashton?"

"He wanted to do it today instead of Sunday so I'm free." I explained.

"Yeah I'll come. I'm running low on flannels anyway. She got up and slung her backpack over her shoulder. See ya tomorrow. I gotta break Mike's jaw. And don't forget to tell me everything. Whatever happens at Ashton's." With that she strode away.

I took out my phone and text Jake telling him that I won't be riding with him. After that I sit there for some time watching the them practice. They were pretty good and they worked really hard. Two reasons why they won about 90 percent of the matches they played.

The sound of the school bell ringing brought me back to the present and I walked towards the parking lot looking for Ashton. I spotted him near his car and he gestured me to come over. I walked over to his car and get in the passenger's seat. Ashton slips in the driver's seat and throws his bag at the back.

I followed suit.

He started driving and turned on the radio. His house was not far from the school. It was just a fifteen minute drive. Once we got to his house he opened the door and motioned me to enter. I enter his house and immediately a girl of about ten years came running towards the door. I guess that's his sister.

"Ashton, you're home." Then her eyes falls on me. "And you brought your girlfriend."

"Shut up Sarah. Aren't you supposed to be at school?" Ashton questions his sister.

"I got sick." She replies in a flat tone.

"What happened?" I can hear the concern laced in his voice even though he tries not show it. Boys.

"I vomited."

"Did you take the medicine?" He asks.

"Yeah."

"Ok then go and rest." Sarah scurries off in a direction I assume her room would be.

Ashton then leads me to his room which is really messy as any guy's would be. "Sorry, my room is a mess."

"No, it's alright. My room is also a mess most of the time. You just caught me in a good time." I reply.

"So let's start right away this time." He says and drags the beanbag over to his table and plops down. I take a seat on the chair and we study for a good one hour before it starts raining.

"Oh, crap." I mutter.

"What happened?"

"It's raining. How am I gonna get home." I was planning on walking back to my house.

"Relax. I'll drop you."

"No, I really don't wish to cause you any trouble." I say truthfully.

"It won't be. And if you think that it will be you are always welcome to spend the night." There was a teasing tone in his voice and he was grinning.

"Ashton whatever-your-surname-is, if you are implying whatever I think you are implying then you are a pervert." I attempt to play horrified.

"I never said anything. Where is your mind wandering off to Callie?" He is still grinning.

I am still thinking of a witty comeback when the power goes out.
