"I heard. Vera were you going to ever tell me?" Geisel randomly asks me while in the dorm. She hasn't really talked to me since our fight, so I was surprised to even get a response from her. I look her way and don't even have to ask what she's talking about, because I already know it's about my relationship with Connor. "I didn't think you cared about my life anymore," I reply while keeping my eyes to her. She frowns while saying, "I do care and that's why I don't want you to be with Connor." There's a knock at the door and I put my laptop down to go and answer it. Surprisingly standing there in the open doorway is Connor and Dylan.
"We're taking you lovely ladies on a surprise double date," Dylan tells Geisel as he walks in. I look over at Connor and he has this stupid happy go lucky look on his face. "And why are you going along with this? Last time we went on a double date was with Fallon and that went horribly," I ask him. Connor closes his eyes and sighs while telling me, "Let's not mention Fallon, okay?" I nod while Dylan beats him to a response, "It was Connor's idea actually." I carefully look at Dylan's face and see he's telling the truth, then I look back at Connor. He just shrugs and tells me, "I thought we all needed quality bonding time." I glance over at Geisel, surprise and irritation is on her face. "Do we have to go?" she asks. Dylan takes her into his arms and tells her, "Come on babe it'll be fun." I find it weird that it's the guys that are wanting this double date, but I just go with it. "Yeah sure. Let's go," I tell everyone while grabbing my purse to leave.
Connor and Dylan exchange looks then go up the stairs to a house on campus. "Our surprise double date is to a party, wow Connor you didn't have to put so much thought into this," Geisel sarcastically tells him. I give her a glare, but she ignores me. However, I kind of agree this is not really a date. "This isn't a normal party. You're Dylan and I's dates tonight," Connor tells us while opening the door for me. I slightly smile at him to hide my disappointment, since I was actually kind of excited for tonight. It was going to be a chance to show Geisel that Connor's different, or rather the way he used to be. "Yeah Ges, it will be fun. You'll see," Dylan reassures her. Once we step in, I can already feel this party is different. There's not red solo cups all over the place. Nobody is walking with a stumble or dry humping each other. Actually, every guy here has a girl next to him. Connor walks into the living room area and clears his throat. "Welcome everyone, thank you for coming out tonight and let's begin the night finally," Connor speaks loudly so everyone can hear. I notice all the guys nod and have this disgusting smirk on their faces. Ok there is something really wrong here. "Geisel I don't feel right about this, doesn't something feel odd to you?" I whisper to her. She looks like she isn't going to answer me, but then she sighs and whispers back, "Yeah I get that vibe too." I nod and feel better that she's getting the same feeling.
I go into the kitchen and try to find something to drink. "Vera? What are you doing here?" I hear a too familiar voice ask. I stop in my spot and turn towards the voice. Fallon's looking at me with anxiety. He hurriedly walks up to me and pulls me into the nearest room. "What the..." I begin to ask, but he interrupts me with, "Listen to me. Who brought you here?" I want to yell at him from still being very mad at him, but he has a serious expression on his face and I know there's something wrong. "Connor did, because we're back together. Why?" I ask him. Fallon totally ignores the we're back together part and replies, "It doesn't matter, just get the hell out of here. I know you're mad at me, but please, if the is the last thing you ever do for me. Please leave now." I don't know what's going on, but I'm beginning to get really scared. "Fallon what's wrong?" I ask him. He shakes his head no, then pushes me towards the door while saying, "I can't. Not now. Just get the hell out of here." I leave the room and go find Geisel.
I find her next to Dylan and I try to get her attention, while also not trying to get Connor's. She finally looks my way, then excuses herself from Dylan. "What's wrong?" she asks me. "We need to leave. I ran into Fallon and I'm beginning to think we were right about something being wrong here. He told me to leave now," I tell her while trying to be quiet. She's watching my face, I suppose to see if I'm lying to her. I don't really blame her. I acknowledge our friendship has been rocky lately, but she ends up nodding her head. "Ok let's go," she finally agrees. I grab her hand and luckily leave the house without attracting our boyfriends. "We can text them once we get back to the dorms that we had lady problems or something," I tell Geisel once we're walking back to the dorms. She nods and stays quiet until she asks, "Why do you think Fallon told you that?" I don't answer right away, but finally reply with just the truth, "I have no idea Geisel."
Geisel and I are having lunch and I smile how last night actually patched up our relationship. I respect that she doesn't like Connor, but she respects my decision to forgive him. "VERA WHAT THE FUCK!" I hear someone yelling behind me, but I already know that voice belongs to my boyfriend, Connor. I get up from my seat and find he's already right behind me. "What's the problem?" I ask him. He glares at me and replies, "My problem is you and that slut left last night. It was bring your girlfriend night for the sophomores on the team last night. And you leaving made Dylan and I look very bad, how embarrassing is that?" I frown, that's all it was? Now I actually do feel bad. "I'm sorry I didn't realize that. I texted you what went wrong," I lie to him. I can't believe I just left, because Fallon told me to. Here again I chose to listen to Fallon than trust my own boyfriend. I look over at Geisel and she just shrugs at me. Connor laughs coldly and tells me, "Somehow I don't believe you, because knowing you and you would've just told me." I don't have anything to say, because if that situation would have occurred, I would have told him.
"I'm sorry Connor I don't know what to say," is the only thing I can tell him. He rolls his eyes, then sighs. "What am I going to do with you?" he asks me. I give him my sweet smile and wrap my arms around his neck while replying, "Same as you've done, love me as I am." He smiles showing his dimples and my heart starts to race. Then he gives me a soft kiss and places kisses all over my face. "Yes that's the only thing I can do," he tells me with a laugh. "So you're not mad?" I ask. He shakes his head no and replies, "No but I guess you'll have to make it up to me." I smile and place another kiss on his lips. "Not like any 50 Shades of Grey shit though, right?" I ask. He laughs and asks, "No. Not unless you're into that?" I playfully smack him and reply, "NO Connor!" Geisel makes fake gagging sounds and tells us, "You guys are making me want to puke up my lunch." I look her way and laugh, while looking back at Connor. Right here is why I'm happy to be with him. We had a fight, but ended up resolving it and laughing afterwards. He doesn't know the truth yet though.
