Both Kat and Ed walked together, with Kat gripping Ed's arm, "I hope no one we know sees us doing this," "I hope the girls don't follow us," Kat said as she looked around looking for the girls, "Don't worry, I told them not to follow us, and that if they did, they won't get a day like today."
"Ooooh, nice threat," "Hey, when you have bro con sisters, you know how to deal with them. Although, I am having an unofficial date today with you, so I guess I have no say in this," Kat squeezed Ed's arm and he looked down, "So, I'm the first one to get a date with you, official or not."
"Unless you count Lily and I at lun-," Kat had punched Ed in his gut, "Gah! What was that for...?" "Nothing!"
Ed sighed at his sister's sudden change in, she tucked on his arm, "So, what are we going to do today, big bro?" Another mood swing, Ed just shrugged it off and continued, "There's this new restaurant that I was gonna go with Charl next week, but I think I need to go with you. I mean, I need to make up for missing last week, right?"
Kat looked at Ed with flustered cheeks and turned around when he looked at her. Ed thought it would be nice to tease her, "Oh, is the boldest out of the sisters getting flustered?" Kat in response pinched Ed's hands, "Whatever, I'm just happy that I get to finally spend a day with you Ed."
"Hehe, I suppose so, c'mon, let's head to that restaurant," He led her to the new restaurant that opened downtown, and there were more people than they expected, "There's still so many people... this place opened two weeks ago," They had to wait behind a long line of people, just to get a table for two, "Ed...," Kat tugged on his arm, causing him to look at her. Her face looked as if she was going to faint, "Kat, what's wrong?"
She grabbed her stomach with her free arm, "I'm getting hungry...," "Don't worry Kat, we'll get there... eventually...," Eventually would then turn into 90 minutes. By this time, Kat was sure too faint, but Ed was there to prevent her from doing so.
It was then, as if it was a miracle, "Alright you two, sorry for the wait," The two instantly beamed as she called them for their table. Kat was first to the table, and Ed was not far behind, "Here are your menus, and is there anything that you would like to drink?"
Kat was first to order, "I would like a mango/peach lemonade," "Ok, and for you sir?" Ed was looking over, but he couldn't figure what to drink. Then he remembered what Kat ordered, "I like mango/peach lemonade... maybe I should get what Kat got" Ed turned to the waiter and said, "I'd like what she's having to drink thank you," The waiter nodded, "Alright, your drinks should be out momentarily.
He walked off and they both slumped in there chair, "Whew, it feels so good to know we're in here now," Kat was relieved greatly, but Ed ruined her parade, "Well, you know our food will take a while to be prepared..., so we're still gonna have to wait until then," Kat froze and grabbed both of Ed's hands, "Please Ed, help me through this endeavor..."
Ed chuckled and nodded, "Don't worry, you know I'll be here for you," Kat felt relieved, even after they ordered, he comforted her, as her stomach was growling loudly. As they were waiting for their food, Ed stroke up conversation with Kat, "Kat, maybe this will take your mind off your hunger. How would you feel if I married someone else?"
Kat shot up and glared at me, "What are you trying to say? Oh no..., you already made your vows with someone...? Ugu...," "No, I'm just asking what you would do. Would you accept me being with someone other than you?"
Kat paused and looked at her older brother, "As long as you're happy, I'm happy...," "Tch...," Kat was surprised at the sound Ed had made, "What's wrong Ed?" Ed sighed and stood up, "I'll be in the bathroom, I'll be back soon Kat."
He stood up and headed to the bathroom quickly, "What was that just now?" Meanwhile, in the men's bathroom, Ed was washing his face, "I want all of them to be happy, but I can't marry all them, or really any of them. They're my sisters..., but we're not blood related... if I do marry one of them, is it still sinfully wrong?"
He looked at himself in the mirror and chuckled at himself, "What am I thinking... I shouldn't be thinking about something like this. Hehe, I'm such an idiot," Ed dried his face and shook around a bit. He walked outside to see a small group of men surrounding Kat, "Fucking hell, it's enough I see these people in manga and anime, but now I have to see them in real life. Geez, I hate people like these guys."
Ed sighed and walked towards his table. He toned out what the men were saying and looked at Kat, "Are these men bothering you by any chance Kat?" The one man sitting in Ed's seat stands up to meet Ed's gaze, "No, we're just showing this lovely girl you ditched a nice time."
"Tch...," There goes the sound again, "Is Ed genuinely getting pissed off?" Kat thought. She usually doesn't see him angry. Usually, he's happy, outgoing and nice, but for her to see Ed like this, is... different, "What was with that noise?"
"Hmph, it doesn't look to me that she's enjoying your presence. Perhaps you should back off before things get ugly," "Ugly?! Oh yeah, what are you going to do us?" Ed chuckles somewhat loudly, gathering the attention of staff members and other customers. A nearby waiter tried to break the tension, "Please calm yourselves gentlemen, you're disturbing the other customers."
The man in front of Ed looked around, and saw the gazes of the other customers. He snapped his fingers and his friends started filing out the restaurant, "I'll feel bad to beat you down in front of all these people, so call this a favor from your's truly."
He turned around and laughed as he walked out. Ed whispered under his breath, "Ikehara Akihisa...," Ed knew who the man was and sat back down in his seat, "Alright, now that that's out of the way, let's finish off this date!"
Ed beamed a smile towards Kat as there food came from the kitchen, "Finally, I'm starving, and I know you are too Kat," Kat then stared at her food, and soon forgot about the whole ordeal. She started feasting on her meal and getting lost in its flavors.
Ed just chuckled and stared back outside. The same man was staring at him as well, "Ikehara Akihisa... the opponent that I ditched... I'll be sure to give you the fight you want... I promise."
