First day of school Pt.1

Ed's POV

Since my room wasn't ready with my bed sheets, and curtains and such, I slept on the couch in the living room. Once  I had woken up, I checked my watched, "5:25? I don't think anyone is awake yet. I guess I should start making breakfast," I stood up and stretched, yawning extremely loud. I don't know what to make. It shouldn't be too much or too little, huh, "Maybe I should just make some pancakes. Probably two per person..."

I got the batter ready and started cooking the pancakes. Not long after making the first batch of pancakes, I heard a yawn come from behind me, "*Yawn* Lil bro? What are you making?"

It was Kat, "Oh, um, just making some flapjacks. I made the first batch already. You should try them," I turned to give her the plate with the fresh hot batch of pancakes to her. I felt her hand brush off mine, which made me blush slightly, "Thanks, I didn't know my Lil bro could cook."

"Can you stop calling me that. I'm older than you, if anything, I should call Lil sis," Kat just chuckled and said, "Say what you want. I'll still call you Lil bro," I sighed after that and continued making pancakes. Soon after, everyone else came downstairs, "Oh, my new son learned how to cook. Did someone teach you at the orphanage?"

"No, I sort of taught myself. It took a while to do, but I managed to make some awesome meals for everyone at the orphanage. Now I can make meals for my new family," I had given everyone their fair share of pancakes before I started feasting as well, "So, what time do we usually go to school?"

"Well, since mom takes us. We usually leave around 6:50 so we're not too early or too late."

"I see. Alright, everyone leave your plates in the sink. I'll clean them for everyone," I was used to doing this everyday back at the orphanage, "Can we help Ed?"

"Nah, I'd prefer if you girls go do what girls do to get ready. I'll be fine here," Everyone had left except Kat, "Listen, we're here when you need help. We're your family after all."

"I know. It's just that when I do this, it's more of a habit more than anything. But I appreciate your concern, now go on and get yourself ready. Washing these shouldn't take long."

"Alright," Before Kat had completely left, I had asked her, "Where is the bathroom. I gotta fix myself up as well?"

"Oh, well, your bathroom should be beside ours. So it shouldn't be hard to miss if you hear the twins."

"Oh, I see. Thanks," She had finally left and I started on my dishes. Thus started my first day at school.

I headed up to fetch my uniform, but I ran into Sena before I reached my room, "Oh, Sena, were the pancakes good?"

"Hmph..."

"Uh, ok then," She just glared at me and walked off. It's gonna be hard to get used to her. But what can you do, "Oh, Lil bro. Something up with you?"

"Nah, I'm fine. My hair is already fixed up and I'm about to go and put my uniform on," Kat looked up at my hair and grinned, "Aw, look at my Lil bro, fixing his hair up. Wow, you even dyed it, but why blue and... grey?"

"Yeah, back at the orphanage, I had this girl who would always fix up my hair. She got adopted a few months before I got adopted, so I don't really know where she is now."

"Well, maybe she's here. You never know Lil bro."

"Stop calling me that..."

After putting my uniform on, I picked up my satchel and headed downstairs to meet everyone, "About time you got done," Sena kept her back at me as she said that, "Sorry about that. I had a little trouble," I looked at Kat as I had said that, "What do you ever mean Lil bro?"

"Guh, whatever. Can we get going now? It's 6:55 now," Mom just nodded her head and we headed outside to school, "Is it alright to start so late in the semester?"

"Of course it is. Mom made it able to put you in the same class as us," So now I'm in the same class as Kat and Lily. I guess I should've expected that, "Ok then, well, I'll just follow you girls."

"It'd be best if you did," I sat in the back with the twins. Sena rode shotgun while the two remaining girls sat behind us, "I still find it weird that I'm coming in so late during the first semester," I felt someone bop my head from behind, "We said not to worry about it. You'll be fine if you just follow us around," I slowly nod as we arrived at school, "Alright kids, you know what time I'll pick you up."

"Wait, I don't!"

"I'm sure the girls will tell you," Soon after, both Kat and Lily both grab my arms and they pull me towards the school, "Don't worry mom, we got it from here!"

"I know you will. Ah, they grow up so fast."

Once we all saw the other girls off to their classes, Kat and Lily showed me to class, "Here's our first period class. The teacher is probably gonna have you introduce yourself to the class."

"Oh great..."

Once we had arrived at the classroom, the classroom was still a little empty. There were only a handful of students that were there. A few of them were conversing with one another, "We're a little earlier than expected," Both girls brought me over to a desk by the far window, "You're sitting behind me, and Lily is sitting beside you."

"It'll probably be better if it's like this," I rose my eyebrow in confusion and ask, "Why?"

"Because Kat is gonna try to talk to you during class," I chuckle slightly after that, "I see. Yeah, that's probably a good idea," I felt a pencil hit my forehead, "Ow, what the hell was that for Kat?"

"Hmph..."

"She's probably jealous that she's not sitting next to you," I tap Kat on her shoulder, but she shrugged me off, "Don't we have all the same classes together?"

"We only don't have one class. Actually, let me see your schedule," I handed Lily my schedule and she started scanning my schedule, "Oh, you have third period with me."

"Does Kat have class with us that period?"

"Actually, she doesn't," I look at Kat who is gripping her pencil extremely hard, "We also have lunch together that block," I don't even pay attention to Lily as I stared at Kat who looked more enraged than before, "Uh, what's up with Kat?"

"Probably jealous that she's not hanging out with her new brother," Kat turned around and yelled loudly, "Do you have to rub it in!"

The teacher walked in as she said that, "Quiet down Kat. I do believe that is your brother behind you, correct?"

"Y-Yes..."

"Well, introduce yourself to the class," I slowly stood up and all eyes turned towards me. I heard small statements from a few girls from the other side of the classroom, "Wow, he's pretty hot. I wonder if I can date him," I continued on, disregarding the statements, "Hello everyone. My name is Ed Lucifer, I hope we can all get along."

I had sat back down and I looked at Lily, "Don't be so nervous Ed. You'll be fine," Lily put a hand on my shoulder and she beams another light smile, "I-I'm here for you two," Kat turned around quickly and grabbed both my hands, "Alright, I get it now. Just let go of me you two, class is starting," Lily let go of my shoulder and continued on, but Kat stayed put, "What's wrong Kat?"

She just stared at me with puppy dog eyes, "Listen, we still live together. You know, how about we go out this weekend. You know, to show me around town," After I had said that, Kat grew an amazing smile, "Yay! Thanks Lil bro?"

I chop her head lightly after she had said that, "First of all, don't call me Lil bro. Just call me Ed," I slowly rub where I had hit her and smiled at her, "Ok, Ed."

I think I could get used to this. I still have a whole day of school as well. Whew, well, my first day of school.
