Time to bowl!

Everyone arrived at the Bowling Alley and everyone began ordering their shoes, "Can you order my shoes mom? I have to head to the bathroom," Ed asked, "Sure thing son, we'll be on lane... 10," Ed nodded and proceeded to the bathroom. He began to wash his hands as his phone began to ring, "Huh? Charl...," He answered, "Hello? Charl?"

"Ed! We have a problem!" The tone of Charl caught his attention, "What's the matter. Did something happen?" She was silent, but he heard her take a deep breath, "Ms. Carson was just released from jail," Ed froze in fear, something he hasn't done in years. Sky Carson, or known as Ms. Carson by Ed and Charl, was the one that raped Ed when he was younger. She wasn't supposed to be released until Ed graduated, but she's been released early... why?

Ed didn't answer at all, he was frozen..., and he couldn't do anything except become petrified, "Ed? Are you still there? Ed!" Ed snapped out of his trance, but he was still shaken up, "W-Wha-, who told you?" "Caldwell told me. He told me to tell you that she wished to speak with you, and make amends with her..."

"I...," "Ed... will you be able to do this? Are you sure that you won't be triggered or something?" Ed leaned on the wall, slowly shaking, and answered her, "I don't know... for so many years, I haven't had the same nightmares I used to have. So maybe my mind has already forgiven her," "She asked to have you meet her this Friday," Ed thought back and remembered that he is supposed to fight Ikehara, and now he has to meet up with Ms. Carson. How was he going to manage both?

"Are you fine with that day?" Without thinking, Ed responded, "Yeah, that's fine," He still didn't know why he accepted, but he knows what he's going to be feeling until then. Not wanting to worry his family, he takes a few deep breaths and a few push ups before going back outside.

He saw his family messing around scoreboard, and as he walked up he saw the names on the scoreboard. His name on the board was... Hubby. He sighed as he walked up to the lane, "So, am I mom's husband, or you girls' husbands?"

The girls jumped at the sound of Ed's voice, and turned around, all nervously chuckling, "Um..., all of the above?" Lily nervously said, not wanting to sound suspicious, but she was obviously failing at doing so, "It's fine. By the way, I won't be going to school this Friday. I have a meeting with... an old friend. So I won't at school that day."

Lily eyed Ed and said, "Who is this old friend? It isn't Charl because she's the only "old friend" we know about. Is there someone else you haven't told us about?" Ed shook his head, "Nonsense, I wouldn't hid anything from you girls."

Kat looked Ed as he said. She remembered back earlier before they left, "Don't tell Kat about what you learned. She continued looking at Ed, until Ed glance at her, "Is there anything wrong Kat?"

"U-Uh, nothing, everything is just dandy, hehe. Why don't we get to bowling?" Everyone nodded, except Ed was worried, "Does she know about the truth?" Ed turned to there mother, and she also had the face of worry, "You're up first Ed!" Ed turned, and exhaled deeply, "This is going to be embarrassing.

-10 frames later-

On the last frame, Ed was on top at a score of 154. He was able to get two strikes in a row earlier, "I thought you said you weren't good at bowling Ed...," The others were below him, Sena being last with a score of 89. Kat was above her at 101, and Ruby, along with their mom were tied at 115. Diamond didn't play because she didn't want to, so she slept on Ed's lap for most of the time. Lily was in 2nd, ending with a score of 126.

"I promise you, this is surprising me. Last time I played, I scored what Sena scored. I don't know how I'm doing so well. I guess it's because I don't want to look like a loser in front of all of you. But this is my last frame, what if I end this with another double strike?"

"Alright," Kat stood up and walked over to Ed, "I issue you a bet. If you don't get a double here, then you and I, will have some...," She looked over at the girls, and snickered, "alone time," This caused Lily to jump up from her seat, "Of course he'll accepts, and I know he won't lose!"

"Now wait a seco-," "Is that so? Then let me issue this next condition. If you fail, then you and I will go on another date next week," Lily even madder than before, but Ed intervened, "I accept your challenge. Let's do this Kat," They shook hands and nodded.

Ed stood behind the line, and took the deepest breath he has taken that night. He swung his arm back, and ran forward, releasing the ball as he approached the foul line. The sound of the bowling ball as it came in contact with the pins sounded like music to Ed's ears. He had knocked all 10 pins, "Yes! Strike!" Although, Kat came to ruin his parade, "Nope, you need a double to win the bet. You still need one more strike."

Kat was right, he needed one more strike to make it a double, "Alright, stand back," He waited for his ball to come back, and once it did, he was ready for his extra frame, "Whew, I know I can do this...," His hands were sweating, but he didn't think it would ruin his throw. He was wrong...

He ran forward, but as he let go of his ball, it let go prematurely and it slipped to the right, resulting in a gutter ball. Both Ed and Lily slumped down in defeat as the ball went down the gutter lane, "Yes! I win!" Ed stood up, and instantly, she took hold of Ed's arm, "Alright, I think we can call it a night," Their mom stretched, "Yeah, I think it's time to head on home," She went over to pick up both Ruby and Diamond who were both fast asleep.

Ed just sighed as he saw Lily and Sena turn away from them. In Ed's mind, he was worried of one thing, "I think her doing this bet was an excuse... I think she knows the truth..."
