Secrets Revealed

A/N: This chapter reveals a major plot twist and the girls' back stories. I hope you enjoy this climax. We're approaching the chapter where we break off onto one of their routes. Enjoy!

Later that night, after their mother returned home, they all got ready to go bowling, "Oh man, I really don't want to go and bowl tonight," "Aw, are you nervous?" Kat said teasingly, "Haha... of course not, why would I be nervous," Ed added a nervous chuckle after what he had said, "What was that nervous chuckle then?"

Ed chopped Kat's head after she said that, "Ow...," "Enough of that, I already said that I was horrible at bowling, so don't tease me on it. Or shall I," Ed grabbed Kat, and brought her closer to him, "Give you that kiss you've been waiting for?"

Ed then felt his ear get pinched, "Ah!" He turned to see that Lily was the one that was pinching him, "Lily? What are you doing?" Lily let go of his ear and huffed, "Nothing...," "Oh no, is she becoming a tsundere now?! Not that I really have a problem about it..., but we already have one in Sena."

Ed chuckled at Lily and went to check up on his mom, "Mom! Are you ready yet?" "Almost son, actually, can you come inside for second. I need to talk to you about something," Without answering, he opened the door, "Yeah, what's wrong?"

When Ed walked in, he saw that his mom was holding her bra over her breast, "*Sigh* I told you to stop getting bras that are too small for you. So, do you need me to help you put that on... again?" "Yeah... and I need to tell you something really important."

"Sure thing," He walked behind his mom and began fixing her bra, "What did you need to tell me?" Once he had clipped her bra, she went to pick up a big yellow envelope, "Read this...," "What is it?" He pulled out a white piece of paper, "DNA test? Why did you do a DNA test mom?"

"Read it, it's going to surprise you," He read over the paper, and something caught his eye, "Wait, you aren't... my birth mother?" He looked at her, and was instantly confused, "But we look almost identical. How is that...," "Keep reading, I did one on your sisters as well."

He continued and looked at the girls, "Well, of course I'm not related to Sena, the twins and Lily..., but wait, what does it say about Kat?" He read on..., and his eyes widened even more, "I'm rela-," He was about to yell, but his mom stopped him, "Shh, I don't want Kat to hear about this. You know how she feels about you, and if she finds out you two are blood siblings... it's going to break her heart. You must keep this a secret for the time being."

"I...," "Look, I know it's too much to talk about, but we can talk about it after tonight... you remember we still have a family outing today, right?" Ed sighed and sat on his mom's bed, "Well, it's still hard to figure. Then, the father that Kat walked about yesterday is my father as well...," "Yes, I'm sorry Ed...," "What happened to him?"

"He had to abandoned you and Kat because he was in a financial debt with loan sharks. To avoid you two getting caught up in his financial problems, he had to give you two away separately. He gave you to me, but he hadn't known that I was also financially drained," "What about Kat? She said she remembered him when she was younger."

"She lived with her grandmother, and she would visit your father from time to time. But when her grandmother died, she was forced to move to an orphanage. She wasn't told why, so she was scared. I picked her up 4 years ago when she was 13. I told her that she would be living with me, now that I had the finances to allow her to live with me."

"And the other girls? What about them?" "Well, Lily was abandoned when she was 10. Her parents were both murdered in a robbery gone wrong. They protected her, and were shot in the process. I picked her up 2 years ago when she was 16. She's keeps a cool head because she has to do so just in case some like the previous situation doesn't happen to anyone else. Especially to you, Ed."

"That's... what about Sena?" She sighed and went to a drawer. She pulled out a photo of what looked like Sena when she was just a kid with a woman and a man, "I've known Sena for a long time. Ever since she was 5, I've known her, and the situation she was in," "What situation?" She took a deep breath and continued, "She was abused when she lived with her father. Her mother passed away from leukemia when she was 7, and her father mentally broke down. He grew extremely angry and started drinking heavily. He would usually come home angry and drunk. He would then proceed to take that anger out on Sena. She was rescued from him when she was nearly... raped by him."

Ed's eyes widened at what she had said, "R-Raped...?" Ed began to rub his forehead in frustration, "So, is that why she is now, and why she didn't want a man living in the house?" She nodded in response, "She went through so much, and to think that she was able to endure it... is just...," "I picked her up last year. She's been grateful to be with me. She told me that she'd wish that I saved her faster."

"I just can't think straight, but last are the twins. What about them?" "Well, their parents were extremely poor. They lived on welfare and section 8. Not only that, but the area of where their housing were was not a good area. They had to give them away, and they were in the orphanage for a long time."

"How long?" "Ever since they were 3. They couldn't be separated either, so finding them families made it even harder. I picked them up 5 months before I picked you back up. Also, I heard about what happened to you at the orphanage...," After she had said that, she pulled Ed in for a fierce hug, "I'm so sorry... If only I had the money to take care of you, then that wouldn't have happened to you...," She began to cry as she hugged Ed, and Ed returned his mom's embrace, "It's alright mom... I know this is all really hard to take in, but just know that I'm still your son, blood or not. You're still my mom."

"Thank you Ed...," "It's alright mom...," He comforted his mom as one thought crossed his mind, "What happens when Kat and all the girls find out the truth. This whole time, I've refused to tell them that I was her birth son, but now that's up in the air now. Now, I have this... I'm Kat's blood brother... crap... if Kat finds out about this...,"

Meanwhile, Kat was standing outside the room... she had heard everything...
