The festival Pt.3

I've been embarrassed enough for one day, and I still have to dance with my homeroom teacher. This day just gets better and better... *sigh*. Once our time was up, I met Sena where we split off from the start of this. The twins went off with Lily and Kat, and then I moved to meet Sena.

But as I went to our meeting place, she wasn't there. I was confused, maybe she was too shy to do this. I could understand that, with how she acts, I could see her skimping out on this. Or so I thought...

In the distance, I heard her voice among another group of voices. It was behind a stall close by, and I once I peeked around it, I saw her. She was surrounded by a group of boys, "Wait, I remember those boys...," I did remember them... they were the same boys I saw when I was at the counselor's office with Sena. I didn't interfere yet, I knew they her bullies, but I listened in first.

"That guy isn't with you now, that's sad to that he had abandoned you," The boy that had pushed her against wall said. I was getting infuriated, but I knew losing my cool will be a bad thing. I had to calm myself, and I continued listening, "He's supposed to be meeting me now. So you better watch out...," "Or what? What's he going to do to a group of 3 boys?"

"H-He's...," "That's right, he won't be able to do anything. Your boyfriend will watch us beat you senseless," I couldn't take it anymore... I stepped out from hiding to confront the boys, "I'm not her boyfriend, I'm her older brother, and I suggest you step away from her before things get ugly...," The two boys behind their leader stepped back, but he stayed put, "Why would the three of us be scared of one guy. C'mon guys, let's get him."

Before he could move forward, the boy on his left grabbed his shoulder, "Dude, this is how I know you forgot to watch the Pan American Karate Championships this year," "What do you mean?" The boy raised an eyebrow curiously at his friend's statement, "He came in second place... he lost by default because he stepped down before the end of tournament. He's known as The Flash," "I wish you wouldn't use my nickname here. I dropped that name after that tournament, but I'll gladly take it back up today."

"What do you mean?" "Because, I'm entering that karate tournament today," I took a few steps forward towards Sena, which forced the group of boys to step back, "Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be off."

I grabbed Sena's hand and led her away from the boys. The tournament is supposed to start in an hour, so my time with Sena is short. I had already told the girls about me being in the tournament, and they were against it, but they soon gave in, "I hate those boys so much..."

Sena tightened her grip as she said that. I only sighed quietly and we continued on. We enjoyed ourselves for a few minutes until she spilled a lemonade I bought on herself, "Ah, ugh, this is a new blouse mom got for me."

I thought about it for a bit, but I did what I did. I took my sweater off and began patting away the liquid of her, "There will still be residue on this, so we're still going to have to wash thoroughly," My favorite sweater was going to be ruined, but what can you do, "How did you even spill it Sena?"

"It was a full glass, and the glass is wet from it being cold," I still don't know why she would buy a lemonade in the fall. It is still a little humid, but you don't buy a lemonade when it's 60 degrees. She'll still need to get something to cover up the stain. I look around a few booths, and I spot a booth with some random graphic t-shirts, "Wow, how convenient...," I buy one and hand it to Sena, "Here, change into this, you shouldn't go around with your blouse like that."

She nodded and walked to a nearby bathroom. As I waited, I saw David passed by with his friends, "You'll get your time later today... you can bet on that," Sena walked out as I was talking to myself. She saw who I was looking at and pinched my hand, "Huh? What are you doing Sena?"

"Don't worry about him, our time is limited today. I may not like you a lot, but knowing how much you've done for me, this is the best way I can repay you...," She clasps my right hand and I mumble, "Why can't you true with your feelings?" "What was that?"

"Nothing...," If she's being genuine about her feelings of not liking me, then I can understand that. But if you show at least the slightest amount of affection to me, then I know something is up.

With our remaining amount of time, I could still feel the stare of David and his crew. I only chuckle slightly as our time comes to an end, "Alright Sena, I got to go get ready for the tournament. I'll hope to see you and the girls there."

As I started walking, Sena grabbed my shirt, "Wait, why is my time shorter than you promised? Lily had the most with you and so did the twins. You're also doing something with Kat after tonight. Even if you have to do the tournament today, you could at least let me watch you prepare," "That's not necessary. I need to be in full concentration when I prepare for this. It's been a few months since I've done this, so I'm going to be a little rusty. I mean, if you want, I can sleep with you tonight if you-," Before I could finish, Sena kicked my shin, "Don't say that you perverted idiot. Whatever, good luck in the tournament...," I chuckle to myself as she walked off.

I walk off as I head towards the tent that was assigned to me for the tournament. The tent was secluded from the booths and/or the other participant's tents. It was done so that we could have concentration and that we could talk to our sponsor and/or coach. On this case, Ms.Lin- err, Stacy was my sponsor and coach. Apparently, she coached her older sister's matches like this before, so this was a breeze. Before I walked in, David's goons grabbed me, and then I felt a burning sensation in my shoulder. It was hot... like a heated iron that was applied to my skin. It hurt... stung... I turned to my shoulder and I soon found out why it burned.

"This should handicap him before the tournament. With a fresh wound such as this one, he won't have a chance," A knife was lodged into my shoulder... it hurt too much to pull it out..., "Damn it... why now..."
