I woke up to my alarm at about seven in the morning. Groaning, I hit the 'snooze' button and turned onto my side, pulling the blanket over my face. I wasn't ready to get up for school. I was nervous as ever and I wasn't looking forward to going to school today. But, eventually I sat up, rubbing my eyes and checked my messages on my phone got up, walking to my closet to pick out an outfit.
Picking out a floral tank top, white cardigan sweater, and some shorts, I walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower. Twenty minutes later, I combed my hair out and blow dryed it out, while plugging in my straightener. I applied my makeup, jamming out to some music and danced around my bathroom.
When I was all ready, I grabbed my book bag and phone, and walked downstairs as I waited for Landon. I wasn't really hungry, so I didn't eat anything. But I did pack a bag of pretzels in case I got hungry throughout the day. Landon arrived around a half hour later, beeping his horn and I smiled, walking outside, checking my Twitter again.
"Ready for your first day of school, Drea!?" Landon exclaimed, smiling.
I nodded, smiling. "Yeah, kinda nervous, but I'm ready." He drove off and we were on the road. We really didn't talk much because I was trying to make all my nerves come out.
We pulled up into the Penola parking lot, and I instantly felt my face go hot. I could feel all the nerves starting to kick in again and I didn't like this. I got out of the car and took a deep breath, nodding to myself.
"Welcome to Penola! This school is big, so when you go to the office, they will hand you a map. Just go in straight through the doors and its your first door on your left. I gotta go off with my diving team. Have fun today, Drea!" Landon said as he smiled and waved at me, walking away with his friends.
I nodded and sighed, as I walked through the crowd of people staring at me as I walked into the school and to the office. I got into the office and rang the assistance bell, until a lady came up and smiled at me. "Welcome to Penola! New student?" I nodded and looked at her. She had this awful green glasses on and she kept smiling as she sat down at her computer. "Name please?"
"Uh, Andrea Owens.." I said, looking down at my hands. The lady smiled and nodded as she typed it in. "Can I have you fill out these sheets and we can get your schedule handed out to you." She said, handing me a clipboard with paper on it and a pen. I sat down at the seat across from her desk and looked at all the information, filling out my name, address, date of birth and all that stuff.
I finished filling it out and handed it back to her as she exchanged me for my schedule. I examined it over, and noticed I had English first hour. Great. I sighed and nodded. "Thank you." I grabbed my book bag again and walked down the hallway, trying to find my classroom.
I was seven minutes late to class and I knew if I walked in, people would stare at me. But, I manned up and walked in there, expecting all the stares. The teacher looked over at me with a smile and I smiled slightly at her.
"Hi! I'm Mrs. Foster, you must be Andrea?" She said with her Australian accent, which kinda sounded funny when she said my name. I nodded and smiled.
"Yeah, that's me." I said with a laugh, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
She nodded and kept looking at me. "Well, just sit down. We are actually going through class introductions since everyone here is coming from another English class...Speaking of, Mr. Brooks, you're next." I sat down in my seat and watched as this boy, looked about eighteen with brunette hair, stood up and walked to the front of the class, causing me to smile a little. He was gorgeous, but I only knew his last name..
