Six months later...

Andrea's POV

Some time has passed and it's only been a year since Luke had asked me out. But it felt like a life time. Honestly, I was the happiest I've ever been this past year. I was coming from a rough patch and seeing Luke, just made my life a hundred times better. Times got rough with us at times, but I can admit, he's the one for me and I know we're gonna last a while. 

Today we were going to the beach for the day to celebrate our one year. I got up at about noon and stretched out. I had no new messages, which most likely meant Luke wasn't up yet. I walked over to the bathroom and rubbed my eyes, starting a shower. Getting undressed, I got in the shower and washed my hair and body. Fifteen minutes later, I stepped out, wrapping myself in a towel and brushed my hair out. I found a cute picture of me and Luke on my phone so I decided to post it on Instagram for our one year. I smiled to myself, as it was one of my favorite photos of us. Jai had taken it when we went to the park one day and it just makes me smile to know we've made so many memories.

I changed into a pink strapless bikini, slipping on a pair of high waisted shorts and a white cut off shirt over it. I combed my fingers through my hair as I walked back into the bathroom and started straightening it. I figured since we would be at the beach, I wouldn't do my makeup. I reached over for my phone and texted Luke: Happy one year! I can't wait to spend my whole day with you and many more! What time do you want me to come over? I hit send and hopped up on my bathroom counter and listened to the music play. As I waited for Luke to text back, I went on Instagram and saw all the nice comments on my photo, really putting a smile on my face. 

Finally, Luke texted back and I unlocked my phone to reveal the text: Happy one year, babe! Uh, how about you come over in like twenty? I'll have everything ready by then, so just come then. Love you(: xx I smiled at the text and hopped off my counter and walked into my room, grabbing my bag which had Luke's present in it and grabbed my pair of black sandals as I made my way down the stairs. My dad was on the couch reading the paper as usual. He glanced up at me and smiled.

"Morning! Where are you headed?" He asked me as I sat on the arm of the couch and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. 

"It's mine and Luke's one year today, so we're gonna go spend the day at the beach." I replied back with a smile as my dad's smile grew slightly bigger.

"It's really been a year? Well congrats for you two. You have fun today, okay? Don't bother on calling me, because I know youre in safe hands. Just come home before midnight or let me know if you're gonna stay at Luke's house." I nodded and smiled, giving my dad a peck on the cheek. 

I walked out the door and shut it behind me as I walked down the steps and walked over to Luke's house. I got to his house and walked up the steps, knocking on the door. I was greeted to Beau who was only in his boxers. I blushed and looked away. "Well, hi Beau.." I laughed and looked at him.

"Hey, Luke's in his room. Come in." He smirked and moved out of the way so I could walk in. I nodded and walked in the house and walked into Luke's room, knocking before I walked in.

Luke looked back at me as he slipped his shirt on. "Baby!" He smiled and pulled me into a hug. I set down my bags and hugged him back tightly. 

I pulled back and pecked his lips "Happy one year." I said, smiling.

"Happy one year." He replied back as he pressed his lips against mine. I kissed him back moving my hand to the back of his neck and pulled back moments after. "Wanna see your gifts?" He asked with a huge smile on his face as I nodded and looked in his eyes. Luke nodded and grabbed the first bag which was small. I sat down on the bed and smiled, opening the bag. Inside, revealed a cute girly phone case that had a collage of all different pictures of us.

"Luke, this is so cute. It's got like every memory of us." I said with a smile and removed my current phone case, putting on my new one. He handed me another one and it was a bigger bag and I looked in to see that there was a blue velvety box on the inside. I opened the box and saw a necklace with the letter 'L' on it. "I'm guessing the L is for Luke?" I cracked a smile and he leaned against the dresser, nodding with a cheeky smile on his face. He handed me one final one and it was a small red velvety box. I opened the box to see a ring making me instantly jump to conclusions. I looked up at him confused. "Is this...?"

Luke laughed and shook his head. "No, I'm not proposing. You see, it's a promise ring. The word 'forever' is engraved on the inside and the date we started dating. And I had the jeweler mix box of our birthstones together. It's basically my promise to you, that I'm gonna be with you no matter what the circumstances are." He smiled and I teared up. 

Getting up, I walked over to him and hugged him tightly. Luke wrapped his arms around me hugging me back. I sniffled and rested my head in the crook of his neck. "I love you so much..." I whispered to him, wiping my eyes.

"And I love you too, baby. You make me so happy Andrea, and I'm glad I can return the favor to you. Really, you're the girl for me. You're my girl forever now." He said with a smile as we both pulled away from the hug. 

"I'm gonna give you your present now, but it doesn't amount to yours that you gave me." I said, chuckling. 

Luke smiled at me. "You're already a gift to me, so that's all I need." I smiled up at him and handed him his present, which was a cologne set and a nice bracelet. He opened the box and smiled. "Oh my gosh, this is amazing. Thank you so much, baby." He smiled and hugged me again. I hugged him back then pulled away. 

"You're welcome. And thank you for my beautiful gifts. I love them so much." He grabbed the stuff for the beach and I grabbed my stuff.

"Ready to go?" He asked with a smile as he slipped on his sunglasses. I nodded and we walked out and got in his car and drove to the beach.

We had been on the beach for hours and I was starting to get tired. I felt my eyes start to shut but suddenly I felt water being poured on my face. I gasped and sat up quickly and glared over at Luke. 

"You ass!" I shoved him and he laughed leaning on his side. 

"You were falling asleep! I didn't want you to miss the sunset." I looked up and noticed the sun was setting. I smiled and looked over at him. He grabbed my hand, lacing our fingers together. "I wanna talk to you about something.." He said as I nodded. 

"Listen, Drea. The last year with you has been the best year I've had in a long time. I've gotten the chance to meet an amazing girl like you and defend you like no other. It makes me feel like I'm doing this boyfriend thing right. I know you had it rough the last year but I want you to know that I love you no matter what happens, alright? We're gonna get through everything together."  He smiled at me and I nodded.

"I want to thank you, Luke. You've helped me a lot this last year to be honest. I had a rough last relationship, but I feel that around you, time just stops and I feel limitless. You're the guy who I think about all the time. You're my ray of sunshine and you make me smile no matter what. Always know how to bring the best out of me and I wanna thank you for that." I kissed his cheek.

Luke pressed his lips softly against my forehead and looked in my eyes. "You know I'm always gonna be there for you. I'm always gonna be that one who repairs you from the hurt."

Always gonna be the one who repairs me from the hurt.
