The next day, I was still trying to get over the fact that Luke and Noah had basically brawled it out in my living room. But, I'm glad I had Luke there with me to defend me, because without him there, I probably would've gotten the shit beaten out of me.
Stretching out, I shook Luke lightly, not too hard since I didn't want to injure him more than he already was and watched him as he stretched out his arms and legs, letting out a groan. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek, sitting up and ran my fingers through my hair.
"What time is it?" Luke asked softly, but with a raspy tone to his voice since it was the morning.
I checked my phone, setting it back down as soon as I knew the time. "About nine in the morning, babe. I wanted to talk about something.." Luke sat up, nodding and rubbed his eyes, allowing them to open up more.
"Yeah, sure.. what do you wanna talk about?" He asked as he looked towards my direction.
I gulped, inhaling a deep breath and looked over at him. "It's just..ever since the fight between you and Noah yesterday, I've realized that I take you for granted...I really do, and don't you dare not disagree with me. I take you for granted as a boyfriend, and as a person." I sighed, rubbing my eyes as there was sleep in them. "I love you so much, and I want you to know that. Yesterday, you proved to me that you're a real keeper. You defended me and I've never seen that side of you before. You almost killed Noah, which wouldn't be good. But you got him to back the hell away from me. A-and...I just thank god for you, I'm so grateful I have you in my life, Luke...But, I don't get why you would wanna be with me. I'm a loser."
At that moment, I was cut off with Luke's lips pressed up against mine. He pulled me close and I kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his neck and I felt his arms wrap around my waist. I literally felt speechless. I didn't know what to say or do when he kissed me. I pulled back and looked at him.
"Listen here, Drea...You don't take me for granted. I do those stupid little things for you, because I love you. More than the world, in fact.. you are my world. You're everything I could possibly ask for in a perfect girl. You're the definition of perfect. I'm glad I have you in my life, because you make me happy." He smiled and pecked my lips once. "I want you to have something.." I kept my eyes on him as I saw his arms reach back to the back of his neck and he unclasped his favorite necklace that he had never taken off and moved my hair, putting it around my neck.
Once it was clasped on, I gasped, looking down at the piece of jewelry that was now around my neck. Sitting there speechless, I tried to think of what to say. "Luke, I... I can't wear this. This is your lucky necklace..." I said as he shook his head.
"Babe, it's for you. You're my good luck charm and you're my favorite thing in this world. I want you to have my necklace, because you're my girlfriend and it's basically a promise from me to you that I'll always love you, no matter what the circumstances." He smiled and kissed my forehead. I looked down at the necklace, fiddling with it a little. It smelled like him too, and that's what I loved.
Laying back down, I pulled Luke back down next to me, and he wrapped his arms around me. I cuddled into his side and buried my face in his chest. Luke pulled the blankets up over us and I felt myself slowly drifting back to sleep in the place I loved being most... In Luke's arms.
