I left the Brooks' house at about ten, which was really late for me since I had to get up a little earlier tomorrow. When I got home, I kicked off my shoes, tossing them over by my dad's. My dad turned over from watching the television and looked at me.

"Well you're home late, where were you?" He asked as he took off his glasses and I glanced over at him.

"Oh, I was at Jai's house hanging out with his brother. We made a video, but never finished it." I laughed and shrugged. "Sorry I didn't call you or text you, I didn't know if you were working or not." My dad nodded and put his glasses back on.

"Alright, as long as you had fun. You need to get to bed now, you gotta get up earlier for school. Early start." I nodded and kissed my dad on the cheek before I ran upstairs into my room. Once I got in my room, I got a text from a number that I didn't recognize. The message said,

6234572: you left your sweatshirt here. it smells all fruity (: x Luke.

I smiled to myself when I saw that it was Luke. I saved his number into my phone and laid down on my bed before texting him back.

Andrea: I didn't know it was your number! lol, and don't inhale the smell too much, don't wanna have you dying. (:

Luke: im gonna take you to school tomorrow, alright? jai's getting a ride from Beau, so i'm gonna take you in my car. Be there about 7:15?

When Luke offered to take me, I smiled widely. It would be just the two of us and I was excited. I instantly replied with yes and put my phone on the charger.

I changed into some baggy sweatpants and a t-shirt and turned on my tv. I had saw that Luke tweeted me, and I smiled.

I favorited the tweet and retweeted it. I instantly got all these notifications asking me if I was Luke's girlfriend. I laughed to myself. "I wish.." I whispered and smiled as I put my phone back down and got under the blankets, falling asleep minutes later. 

I woke up at about 6 the next morning, tired as ever. I knew I should've left Luke's house earlier, but we just lost track of time. I got up and walked to my closet, picking out a crewneck sweatshirt I got from Pacsun, and some ripped dark blue jeans. I changed quickly in my room, then walked into my bathroom and began to comb out my hair. Turning on my straightener, I plugged my phone into the dock and jammed to some Justin Bieber as I did my makeup, winging out my eyeliner like usual.

Twenty minutes later, I was ready to go to school. I hopped down the stairs and into the kitchen, making my breakfast selection and sat down at the table, scrolling through my Facebook and Twitter, checking to see if there were any new messages. I got a text from Luke soon after. I smiled at it and replied.

Luke: almost ready for me to come and get you? i wanna go get a coffee or something haha. (:

Andrea: yes! i'm just eating some breakfast! lemme know when you're here. :)

I put my phone in my front pocket and threw away my garbage. My dad was already at work, so I didn't get a chance to say good bye to him. Grabbing my book bag, I went outside and sat on my stoop, putting on my black and white Vans. As I waited for Luke, I listened to music again, singing along to it. But not loud enough for anyone to hear, my singing voice was awful.

I then saw Luke pull up in a run down car and I chuckled to myself as I stood up and walked down the steps of my front stoop. I got in the passenger side and looked at him "Nice car." I laughed again and shook my head.

Luke patted the dashboard and nodded. "It may be a piece of shit, but as long as I can drive it, its good. Im saving up for a new one." He laughed and pulled out of the driveway. "Did you sleep well?" He asked and I nodded, smiling.

"Yeah, I like instantly fell asleep after I changed and my head hit the pillow." I laughed and looked at my phone as Luke kept his eyes on the road and smiled. He pulled into the Starbucks drive thru and ordered his drink. 

"What do you want?" I said I wanted the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and he ordered it for me. Once we got our drinks, I looked at him and smiled. 

"Thanks for getting me coffee, Luke. You really didnt have to." Luke nodded and smiled.

"But I wanted to, a nice friendly gesture." He kept smiling and drove to school. Penola wasn't that far from Starbucks, so we got to school at like 7. We pulled into the school parking lot  right at the front entrance and he looked at me. "Well, here's school. Have fun today! Do you need a ride home? Or are you and Jai walking?" 

I shrugged and looked at him "I'll probably walk with him, so he isn't alone." I smiled and he hugged me. I was shocked, but I hugged him back, smiling.

"Okay, have a great day, Drea. See you after?" He asked and I pulled away from the hug, nodding. He smiled and nodded as I got out of the car. "Bye, Andrea." I waved and smiled at him as he drove off. I took a deep breath and turned the front entrance of the school, and walked up the front steps of the school, finding Jai as I walked to English with him.
