Derek's POV
We sit in my loft, not sure what to do. The dusty floors and crumbled foundation were being examined from boredom. Finally, after eternity, I speak,
"What are we going to tell them?" I'm filling up with worry, day by day. If I sit down here with nothing to do for another day, I'll explode. I've been counting the days since I lost saw them. Scott's pack. 43 days. That's along time to be down here.
"Just tell them you're here! They'll be excited to see you. They probably need you." She speaks.
I finally look up from my gaze and admire her. Everything about her. Her hair, smile, eyes. The way she speaks, so soft and understanding. In my eyes? She's perfect. I don't know what I'd do without her.
"You're right." I say, getting up and taking her hand. She smiles and I add, "You're always right." I pull her into a hug and we stay there for a long time.
"so, where can we find them?" She asks. I look at her and reply,
"The real question is, how can we find them." I crack into a smile and so does she, but she also looks confused. I wink,
"How would you like to go to high school?" She laughs a little but then backs away,
"Oh, no. You know why I dropped out in the first place." She waves her hands in front of her and I shrug, then suddenly start to chase her. She laughs and runs away. We run around the loft, and finally I catch her, holding her up in a hug.
"Okay! Okay! I'll go!" She laughs and I let her down. I smile,
"That's my girl! Love you." I say and kiss her on the cheek. She rolls her eyes but I can tell she liked it.
"now, let's get you some clothes. New clothes." I look at her clothes, dirty from hiding and living with the life of Me.
