Randy had been searching for hours on end, yet he still could not find his mother. Maybe if he brought his ninja mask it would have been much quicker. "I'm so honking tired." Randy muttered, stepping over rocks and roots.

He sighed, staring at the damp grass. Even though he could not find his mother it was pretty fun just walking around, it calmed him.

Eventually the grass faded into cracked black marble, and when Randy noticed that he finally looked up. There before him was a large, dark mansion. A white piece of fabric contrasted from the shadows of the home.

Being a curious boy, Randy decided to check out what the white fabric was. Picking it up, he examined it, but did not fully understand what it was until he saw the letters R and M sewn onto it. "Mom..." Randy shoved the handkerchief in his pocket before lumbering to the entrance doors.

Nomi paced back and forth, furious by what had transpired earlier. "Ugly just had to invite her in Tengu," Nomi pointed at the said candle holder, "you so calmly said she could sit in the master's chair and pet the masters pooch!"

"I was trying to be kind."

"Whatever."

The two of them jumped when they heard the heavy doors open. "Hello?" An unknown male voice echoed through the halls. Nomi and Tengu stared at each other before wobbling to the entrance of the room they were in. They peeked through the entry way, their eyes widening when they say a boy with purple hair pass them.

"Did you see that Nomi? It's a boy!" Tengu eagerly hopped up and down.

"I know it is a boy, I am not an idiot."

"he is the one! The boy we have been waiting for! He has come to break the spell!" Tengu began following Randy.

"Wait!" Nomi began running after Tengu.

Thanks to knowing the mansion pretty well they were able to wind up ahead of him. "I'm looking for my mom!" Randy flinched when the door behind him was opened, by Nomi and Tengu of course but Randy does not know that. The interior of the room was just stair, upon stair, upon stair. Deciding it was safe to go down, he began to climb downwards.

Is anyone there?" Randy yelled out when he found himself walking past an old storage room. He pulled out his phone and turned on the flashlight, allowing him to see.

"Randy?" He heard a voice come from it, an all too familiar voice.

"Mom!" Randy ran over to the door, frowning when he heard her give out a few rough coughs.

"How did you find me?"

"Are you sick? We have to get you out of here!"

"Randy you have to leave!"

"Who did this to you?"

"There is no time to explain, go!"

"I won't leave you!" Suddenly, a large hand gripped the back of Randy's jacket and tugged him upwards. The phone flew out of Randy's hands and landed on the floor with a deafening crack. Randy watched as the light flickered, then completely stopped, dousing him in darkness. The only light being a streak of it that broke through the cracks in the ceiling.

"What are you doing here?" A voice prodded Randy. The voice obviously belonged to a female, but there was something in it that sounded like a growl.

Randy whipped his head around, trying to will his eyes to adjust to the darkness quicker "who's there? Who are you?"

"The owner of this place." Randy could hear the voice circling him.

"Please let my mom go! Can't you tell she is sick?"

"Then she should not have trespassed here!"

"Please let her go, I will do anything!"

"There is nothing you can do! She is my prisoner now!"

The person turned to leave, but without thinking Randy's arm shot out "wait!" Randy noticed the figure had stopped. "Take...take me instead." Randy begged bringing his face into the streak of light.

"You!" The figure seemed to be thinking about this when she saw Randy "you...would take her place?"

"Randy no!" Rae punched the door to the storage room.

"If I did would you let her go?"

"Yes, but you have to stay here forever."

Now that the figure was closer to the light Randy noticed something unique about it. "Step into the light..." Randy said, curious about what exactly was odd about your figure.

Randy was expecting a normal human, not a beast.

Randy's eyes widened when he saw you, and he unconsciously backed away.

"No! Randy I won't let you!" Rae pounded on the door again, but Randy ignored her pleas. Randy gulped and shakily walked up to you, forcing himself to look into your eyes.

"Deal." You only nodded and passed Randy, who was now blankly staring at the ground, to open the locked door.

Rae ran to Randy and desperately hugged him "you don't have to do this!" Randy tried to hug her back but you dragged her away from him "I have already lived my life! You have to live your own!" You hear Randy yelling something, but you were too far away to hear it.

You walked outside and stopped by a car that was surrounded by vines. You opened the door and carelessly there Rae into the car "take her to Norisville!" You barked, and the car quickly began driving away from the mansion.

When you returned to the hallway where Randy was you saw him looking down. Your eyes softened a bit, and you glanced at Tengu, who motioned for you to pick him up. Doing so he leaned close to you "he will be staying for a while, maybe you should give him a place to stay." You just growled before walking over to Randy.

"I never got to say goodbye." Randy was looking at you, or well, mostly glaring at you. "And I might never see you again..." Randy looked back down, trying to hold back his tears. It may seem stupid for a boy to cry, but his mom was the only family he had left, and now he was left with no one.

"Let me show you to your room." Randy looked up at you, he honestly did not expect you to do anything kind.

"But...I thought..."

You looked around before glaring "do you want to stay in the hallway? Come with me." You turned on your heel and began walking through the mansion, Randy right behind you. Randy looked at all the decoration in awe, he had never seen anything like it.

"Psst," you looked down at Tengu, "talk to him."

You looked back at him not knowing what to say. "I...umm hope you enjoy it here" you looked back down at Tengu, who encouraged you to talk more, "the mansion is your home now, so you can go wherever you like, I really don't care. Just don't go to the west wing"

"What's in the west wing?" Randy was looking at you now.

"It's forbidden!" Your voice was harsher than you meant for it to be. "Anyway, here is your room." You opened the door, allowing Randy to enter and explore the unfamiliar place.

Tangy tapped your arm and you looked down at him again "invite the boy to dinner!"

"I umm." You straightened up "your are to have dinner with me, that is a command!" Randy's eyes widened when you slammed the door shut. He quickly regained himself and instead began to glare at it. He stomped over to his new bed and plopped down on it, trying to be angry. Though he must admit, it was kinda heard being mad when laying in such a comfy bed.
