My friend had finally convinced me to go to one of his little blind speed date things. Brock could be such a push-over sometimes. He was convinced that I would find 'the one' just like he did through stupid speed dates. He just got really damn lucky, nothing more.
Okay, everyone just take a seat wherever and then we'll get this party started!
The man's cheerful and optimistic voice only made me doubt this more. I scanned the room taking note that a few of the men here were in fact attractive, but I knew all about the pretty boys. Show off their looks to get you in bed and leave the next morning, never to be heard from again. I finally sat down at one of the many tables and another man quickly took the seat across from me. When I looked up at his face I could tell he was one of those douchebag players looking for some action. He had ocean blue eyes and sandy blonde hair. The smirk on his face disgusted me and I wanted nothing more than to get up and leave right now. He extended his hand towards me still with that damned smirk, "Name's Felix" I took his hand and mustered a smile, "Evan" "Ya know Evan, you have a wonderful accent. Did you just come to America?" He stared straight at my lips as if he was judging how they would be to kiss. "No actually... been here for a while." He didn't talk much after that just kept staring at different parts of my body, making me shift under his gaze.

The bell snapped the Swede from his trance and he got out of his seat. He slid a paper over to me and winked before walking off. I groaned in disgust and made a personal note to never call him. The next man that sat down actually looked like they would be a respectable person. A nervous smile played on their lips but he didn't make a move. "Hi, I'm Evan." He looked up at me and took a breath, "I'll be honest Evan... my friend dragged me here because he didn't want to be alone. But uh... seeing as how he's already left with someone." I sighed, at least we could talk like normal people. "Me too except my friend is just trying to hook me up with someone. He thinks I'll magically find the perfect one and here of all places!" The man laughed. "You know we may not be interested in each other that way but you seem like a cool enough guy to be friends with. I'm Ryan... my douche friend is Felix, I think you met him?" I nodded with disgust on my face just from him mentioning the tool.

"Oh well, nice talking to you Evan. Here's my number maybe we could play some video games... if you're into that." I nodded my head and genuinely smiled for the first time since I got here. The next few people, however, were just completely awful and I counted the seconds until they left.A man who was somehow covered equally in tattoos and piercings.
Ding
A slob who showed up in sweatpants and a sweatshirt with zero disregard for manners.
Ding
Another player who was much more aggressive than Felix. Actually trying to get me to go to his place.
Ding
A seemingly nice guy until he got into talking about his personal life. Making me listen to his drama.
Ding
An obvious drug addict just only based on how he smelled.
DingI was tired of this bullshit. I don't know how Brock did this more than once, let alone find someone actually respectful. I was about to get out of my chair when a man sat down. I'm not one to be rude so I stayed seated. I looked at his face and froze, this had to be the most attractive man I had ever seen in my life. It wasn't a model-attractive look no he was just naturally perfect. His brown hair was positioned just perfectly so as to not be in order but also not completely messy. His bluish gray eyes blended perfectly and made all my worries disappear, but it had to be the look on his face that sold me. It was one of those looks that anyone would have to stare at forever to figure out its' meaning. "Jonathan" I refocused on reality and realized that was his name, Jonathan... it suits him perfectly. "Evan" We talked about random things and we began to really take off. He was kinda like Ryan in being laid back, but other than that he was a complex puzzle.

The bell had gone off and I sighed in sadness, but to my surprise Jon made no move of getting out of his seat. I looked at him like he was crazy and he must have noticed, "The man clearly never said we had to move, but if you really want to move let's go someplace else." I smiled and nodded as we got up together and walked out of the musty bar. We walked around town and continued our chat, but it escalated into jokes and random bullshit. We ended up holding hands somehow and I didn't question it at all. Jon led me around and continued talking while I just enjoyed what was happening right now. "Hey Evan?" "Yeah Jon?" He giggled at the nickname I just came up with. "I don't understand it... I think I fell in love with you." He closed the gap between us and kissed me. I was shocked at first but I succumbed to the feeling of his lips. It was of course short lived as he pulled away. I whined a little bit from the loss of contact. He giggled, "There's more where that came from, but I think we should go on a proper date first."
