A woman's voice yelled out to us from downstairs causing us all to jump up and run down the stairs as quickly as possible. We pushed each other around trying to be the first.

We all ended up in a groaning pile at the bottom of the steps. I looked up to see Brock's mother looking down at us with a smile. She was always a sweet loving lady just like her son. "Go get cleaned up boys. Then we can eat."

I jumped up running to the sink yelling out, "FOOOOOOODD!"

I heard my friends laugh at my desperation and join me at the sink. I climbed up onto the barstool, still being the shortest of them, and began to wash my hands first.

Soon enough though a pair of hands joined mine under the running water. I looked up behind me to see Tyler there. "What are you doing Tyler?"

He looked down at me with a small smile. "Saving water, duh."

I turned back and just watched our hands as he used his to clean both mine and his own. Even after I had stepped away from the sink Tyler kept my hands in his. Right until he had dried both of them off.

I smiled at his silly antics and took my place at the table. Tyler, of course, sat right beside me. I felt his hand take mine again causing me to look between his face and our hands.

"What are you doing Tyler?" I whispered at him

"My hands were cold Jon, duh."

I bit the inside of my lip no longer sure what to think. Friends don't really hold hands with each other... I've held hands with my parents and that was about it. Maybe it was an okay thing to do. After all Brock always kisses Brian's cheek, this must be a normal friend thing to do. I looked back at Tyler who remained with a large grin across his face. Definitely must be a friend thing to do, hold people's hands.

After dinner was done we all went back upstairs returning to our video games. That was until Evan stopped us, "Guys I'm boooored."

"That's only beacuse you keep losing." Tyler said.

Evan rolled his eyes and layed down on his back. "We always play video games surely we can do something else during a sleepover."

"Ooh! We could try a game I know!" Lui squeaked out.

Our interest was peaked now as Lui always knew the best games to play no matter what was needed for the occasion. "We should play Spin the Bottle."

All my friends looked at each other with smiles and nodded while I was left confused. Before I could ask about the game they all began to set it up. I sat back and watched them all excitedly empty a bottle and form a circle. I joined in the circle still insure of what was happening.

"Here Jon, you spin first." Brian told me.

I leaned forward and quickly spin the bottle not as excited as my friends. It pointed towards Tyler and his face immediately lit up. He grabbed my hand again and pulled me out of the room. I followed quietly as he led us into a hallway closet. He closed the door and turned to me with a smile.

"Why are we in here Tyler?" I asked him.

His smile faded away from his face as if he was disappointed. "Oh Jon... I can't wait for the day when you'll figure everything out."

"It's because I'm five years younger than all of you, isn't it?" I said sadly.

Tyler just shook his head and grabbed both of my hands into his. He pulled me into a hug after a while, holding me tightly. "You're only eight Jon. You'll get it eventually, and I'll be waiting for you." He murmured in my ear.

I nodded a bit and he broke away from our hug. "Let's go watch a movie while those morons play their bottle game."

I squealed excitedly and ran out the closet landing onto the couch. Tyler walked out laughing all the way sitting down next to me on the couch.
