"Never again." I closed the motel door to room 97, Sam dragged his feet along the carpet, lazily. Johnson went to sit on the edge of the bed, staring at the blank television screen.
Lexi and Nate were laying in the bed eating take outs, "You guys look like total shit." Sam looked at her, "Don't start, we've hard a long and unfortunate night." He went into the bathroom to take a shower. I sat down beside Lexi, "They didn't make you do anything stupid did they?"

                       "Define stupid."

Lexi pulled me around to face her, "What happened?" I slid my parted hair behind my ears, "Oh nothing, Sam beat a guy up with a bat then hit a girl in the face with his car door." Her eyes widened. I gulped, "But it was totally self dense, the girl bashed his windows in and blocked our exit."

She frowned, "He hit a girl."

I had been looking at her but my eyes where never fixated on her until now, "He hit you?" She pressed her lips together, "Not on purpose, he wasn't drunk or anything. He wouldn't even see me and accidentally hit me in the head with like a beach ball or something because him and his immature friends are always playing around." She laughed.
Nate looked at me, "When he punched that girl at Walmart that wasn't an accident." I looked at Lexi. She winced, probably at the thought of that incident. "He was mad that I forced him to go with me and this girl was bitching about Sam almost running her ass with the cart. He was distracted by his phone and the girl's boyfriend got into it with Sam, the girl was running her mouth and some shit happened. Nate thinks he purposely punched the girl instead of hitting her boyfriend instead, but who could blame Sam? The girl was a pain."

"Wonderful, I like a guy who will probably either accidentally hit me in the head with a beach ball or hit me with his car door if I ever pissed him off."

"Or accidentally punch you in the face." Nate adds, I looked at him. "Shut up." Lexi mutters. I looked down, "The girl Sam hit with his car door was Johnson's crazy tinder date who happened to have a boyfriend. The two of them fought like they were UFC fighters or some shit."
The three of us looked over at Johnson, who was on his phone. "Well that sucks." Nate laughs. I smiled, "I'm just glade that shit is over, I nearly pissed my pants from nearly being murdered." Lexi rolled her eyes, "You would've be perfectly fine."

Lexi watched me get up. "So did he like your hair?" I shrugged, "You know... that it was nice." I lied. Nate looked at his girlfriend, "Liar. He would never say something was nice. If he liked your haircut he would probably want to fuck you so that he pull your hair."
"Wow, true friends am I right?!" Lexi pointed at her boyfriend with her thumb as she leaned towards me. "Right? How do you even know that?" I asked Nate. He laughed, "You don't wanna know."

Lexi nods, "Actually we do." I agreed.

Nate adjusted himself on the bed, "Okay Sam and I were at this party --"

"Fast forward twenty minutes." Lexi sighed. I stood beside the bed, motioning Nate to hurry up before Sam came out of the bathroom. "Well, let's make this short and say that I heard everything... because he said everything around everyone. And when I say everyone I mean everyone, no fucks were given by Sam Wilkinson."
I cringed, "Okay, gross. But when you said everyone heard do you mean those who shouldn't  have heard, like minors?" Half of me wanted to hear this and other half didn't.

"Yes, who else."

I felt sick and Nate was making it worse, "I kinda felt bad you know?" He called it whispering but everyone could hear him. "The things that guy said... I think he scared away about half of the virgins at that party, those girls will be keeping their virginity for ten or so plus years." He smirked.
Lexi pushed his shoulder, then looked at me. "He's joking." She smiled weakly, I just stared at her. Her boyfriend laughed again, "There's no need to lie to the virgin."

I inhaled sharply, "I know what you guys do." Nate stared at me, he tilted his head. "You know about what?" He laid back. "That you do illegal things." He pulls his girlfriend towards his chest and kisses her forehead, "Listen Jo, none of that matters because those girls volunteer to do those things and we aren't forcing them. You have nothing to worry about because you aren't like any of those girls, at least if you go home then you won't be."
Sam came out the bathroom, "Anyone sleepy because I'm not." He walked past the bed in nothing but a towel. I stared at the couple, "Is this normal to you?" They both nodded.

"If you need me I'll be outside, but try not to need me too much." He looked at me then at the others as he went outside. "What is he going to do? Go stroll the streets or flash people driving?" Lexi got out bed and put some pants on, which I thought were already on.
He brushed Johnson's shoulder, "Come on let's take you home." As in home she meant Gilinsky's house. Johnson stood up from the bed and headed towards the door, "We'll be outside, don't take too long."
As soon as the both of them left, Nate stood up from across the bed and put his shirt on. "I hope that you understand what I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings." I didn't feel quite comfortable with him.

He put his shoes on and came over towards me, pulled me up by my arms. "I think it's okay for you to stay and enjoy yourself but, you should really think about going home afterwards."
I smiled weakly at him, in a way he could considered a friend... maybe a friend who's realist. "I'm not promising anything." I smiled. He looked serious, "No that's actually what you to do, promise me that you will leave as soon as summer is over." I lowered my eyes at our hands, that were still clenched together.

Summer hasn't even started, which much I had more time to have fun. "Promise me?" He insists, I nod. "I promise I'll leave after summer is over, go back home to all the bullshit." He smiles at me as he pretends to knock my jaw with his knuckles.
Sam back in and the first thing he looks at is us, I took a step back from Nate. Sam closed and door and walked towards me, "Hold this." He handed me his cigarette and then got his clothes together. Nate nodded at the door, "I'll be in the car."

"K bye." Sam mumbles, as he went through the dresser. His friend gave me a look, which I understood. When Nate left I fiddled with my fingers, "Are you mad at me?" I asked out of blue, he looked over at me.
I noticed the muscles in his back tense, "The guys are probably waiting..." He mumbled, "I'll be ready when I'm ready." He stood up and went to put his clothes. I pinched the bridge of my nose, "Fucking pain in the ass." I went outside to wait in the car.

I got in the back seat with Johnson, sliding into the middle seat. After what seemed like forty years, Sam finally came outside.
Lexi started the engine of the car, as soon as he climbed in beside me on my right. Before Sam could put on his seat belt Lexi began backing up out of the parking space, there was absolute silence which I somewhat missed.

After five minutes of silence I became annoyed. Not only was I uncomfortable because Sam sat with his legs opened, but because I was thinking about what Nate said when I told him I knew what him and Sam do.
Nate acted as if those girls didn't matter, that because they volunteered to sell their bodies that it was perfectly fine. He never once thought that maybe those girls needed the money or maybe they were addicted to the drugs and had no other way of getting them.

I was mad with Sam because he played a part in this, to him girls were just a game. And Lexi was no better, she knew her boyfriend sold girls like toys but still stayed with him, at least she didn't know but I highly doubt that because she was siting right there when I mentioned it.

"You look tense." Sam whispered in my ear, I muttered, "Yea because I'm sitting next to you."
