"This party blows." I headed to the kitchen and sat on the counter, where Derek sat in a stool with his feet up. "Tell me about it, it's not like it use to be." I was curious, "How did the parties use to be?" He wasn't looking at me because he was staring at a girl from afar.
"Crazy," His eyes widened as he looked at me, "like rated R." He seemed to be enjoying the memories that stormed through his thoughts. "So what happened? People got bored of living that lifestyle." Derek laughed, probably remembering good times. "If you're bored it's because you don't know how to live the lifestyle, you're doing everything wrong." I focused on the girl he was drooling over, then looked down at the counter.
What was so perfect about her? What did she have that I didn't? No matter how hard I tried to ignore these thoughts, they continued to linger in my head and it was making me go crazy. I didn't even like Derek in a romantic way yet I envied her because she seemed like the type of girl who could have anything she wanted with a snap of her fingers.
Derek smiled, "I think she wants me."
"You're delusional, she doesn't want you." He ignored me and stood up, "No, I think you're wrong." I groaned loudly, "Not every girl who makes eye contact with you wants you!" I tossed my head back, he was tempted to leave me. His eyes were switching back and fourth between and the girl and me, "But she's giving me the look." I rolled my eyes so hard that they might have gotten stuck like that, "What look?" I lied, he was being ridiculous.
Derek looks over at me and gives a amorous stare, I giggled like a little girl. "That look, like I wanna fuck you look." He pointed at me, my eyes widened. "Oh okay... that's what it's called." I quickly looked away."Yeah, everyone knows about that look unless you're a virgin and quite honestly you don't look like a virgin you know specially the way you tried to get at me earlier." He rambled, my jaw dropped. "It doesn't take a virgin to know how to flirt, idiot. And I wasn't trying to get at you, well I mean technically I was trying to flirt with you but only to get some alcohol." He was too busy staring at girl, "So you're a virgin, awe poor baby." He teased.
I furrowed my eyebrows the hardest I've ever had, "First of all I'm not your baby and secondly what's wrong with being a virgin? You assholes act it's some kind of disgrace to mankind, last time I checked its my vagina and not yours."
"Mmmhhh." He mumbled, he checking the girl out and I was almost done with him. I began drinking my bottle of alcohol again, Derek looked over at me. "First of all I'm I'm an asshole and secondly you're right, I gotta give you prop for not following the crowd." I like it was more of a mock than a compliment.I motioned for him to leave, "Alright go, clearly you don't want to be here with me." He rushed away, "I'll be back in an hour." I felt grossed out, "Tmi." I muttered, as I laid down on the counter. Sammy entered the kitchen a few moments later, I quickly rolled onto my stomach and stared at him then did a double take. "Where is your shirt?"
Sam looked high, "On the floor where I left it." I brushed my hair back away from my face as he looked through the refrigerator for something to eat. I sat up, "That is a counter Johanna, not a bed." I laughed softly, he was so funny.
"Can we leave? I'm sleepy." I asked, I set the bottle of alcohol down beside me. He motioned for me to follow him, "Come on sleepy head." I walked into his open arms and went upstairs, to Gilinsky's room.
Gilinsky was sitting in his bed with his back against the headboard and covered in a blanket. "Awe, you look so pathetic." I laughed, as I walked over to Jack and sat beside him.He turned to look at me as Sam sat on the other side of me, "Well I'm no longer in a relationship so that's why." Sam ate his snacks and in between chews he said, "Yay to single life, no commitments."
