"Are you having fun?" Sammy whispers in my ear. I looked over at him and smiled, I lied to him. "Yeah." He didn't even notice the sadness in my voice, instead he continued to focus on the girl on his lap.
I slowly stood up from the couch and went into the kitchen to get myself something to drink, I didn't know what I was doing at this party I didn't belong here.Lexi approached me as I grabbed a beer from the cooler, "Hold on, girly." I sighed, as she snapped the cold beverage from my hands. "What? I deserve a drink." I ran my fingers through my silver hair, angrily. I couldn't help but glare at Sammy and that stupid bitch sitting on his lap.
She saw my eyes wander over to Sammy and she laughed, "You can't serious, you like Sam?" But I denied it, "What are you talking about? I don't like him."She opened the beer that I was going to drink, "Stop being in denial."
"I'll stop being in denial when you stop assuming that I like Sam, which by the way I don't." Lexi grins, "That's what all the girls say." She walks around the counter, "All girls?.... They'd have to be shit face drunk to think Sam was cute."
"Damn." Lexi giggled.
"Don't worry honey, I feel the exact same way about you." Sam walked into the kitchen and held his hand out close to Lexi, she reached into her black leather jacket. "Oh really because just last night you asked me to have sex with you, soooooo." I said nonchalantly.
Lexi handed him two blunts, it was biggest ones I had ever seen. "Do you know why I asked you to have sex with me?"I rolled my eyes and turned my head, as he walked up to me. He stood with his chest just a few inches from mine, I was beyond uncomfortable.
"Because I was missing that fine piece of ass sitting on that couch right there," Lexi laughed, as Sam pointed at the girl sitting on the couch.
"and we usually don't see each other. So, I usually have sex with girls like you whenever I'm thinking about her," he sighs, "you wouldn't understand." He simply states. I pushed him away from me, "Oh trust me I understand and know fuckboy tendencies when I see them."There was no way I was going to let him disrespect me like that, who the hell does he think he is?
Sam places his hand against his heart, "Ouch." I pointed my finger at him, "Fuck you, I hope that bitch gives you HIV." I opened up the cooler and grabbed a beer and opened it as I walked up to him, taking a sip. That's fucked u--" I splashed the beer in his face, then dumped it on his hair.
"No, what you said was fucked up!" I tossed the beer and walked away, heading outside.Once I was out of the building, I reached into my bra and pulled out a few twenty dollar bills. I sighed in relief because it had to be enough for a cab or something.
Hell, I didn't even know if Nebraska has cabs or taxis but I was going to find a way back to the hotel. Then it dawned on me, "Fuckkkkkkkk!" I groaned, as I ran my fingers through my hair.
I didn't have a room at the hotel anymore because I checked out. I tried to recall how much money I had in my bag, back in room 97.
I didn't want to turn back around and go back, I wouldn't be able to stand being in the same car as Sam.I went back to the party and asked Lexi if we could leave, she told me that it wasn't her decision to make. I went over to the couch and sat down, watching the people surrounding me.
I didn't see Sam anywhere, nor did I see Nate. I adjusted myself in my seat, because I was the only person sitting across from three individuals that were a little too touchy. I stood up from the couch, and went upstairs. I didn't know where I was going, and I was regretting continuing down the hallway. There were only three other rooms, but I didn't know if Sam was in one of them. I tried not to look freaked out, "Sam?" I whispered, as I slowly approached a door. I knocked on the door, "Sam?" I said a little louder, I heard a giggle before the door opened.
"What?" He leaned against the door frame, my eyes flickered at the half naked girl. "I wanna go leave." I looked at him, but he gave me a blank stare. "Then go, I'm not stopping you." He was more interested in fixing his belt then paying me any attention. "I don't have car or anything.""There's still thing called the bus."
I wanted to punch him, "We've been here for three hours and I'm tried. I can't catch the bus on my own, what if I get kidnapped?" He sighs, "Nobody is going to want to kidnap you, you're obnoxious."
"Please."
He went to go put his shirt on, we left the room without him even acknowledging the girl siting on the bed. "Aren't you going to tell your girlfriend goodbye?" He looked over at me as we headed downstairs, "Girlfriend? Jo, I don't even know the girl.."
I walked a little bit slower until he was leading the way, I was astonished by two things. One he spelt with a girl that he didn't even know and two, he called me by a nickname which is something I never imaged him doing. Before we reached the bottom of the stairs I grabbed his arm, he stopped and looked over his shoulder at me.
He was too busy smiling at his friends in the living room at the couch, that he wasn't expecting me to grab him.
"I'm sorry about what I said earlier." I didn't even know why I was apologizing, but I was. He shrugged it off, "No biggie," he murmurs. I release his arm from my grip, "I'm sorry about what I said too." He smiled, as he extended his hand out. I grabbed his hand and smiled at him, "Let's go." He says.
