Here is a Pens one because the other day I was walking down the streets here in the fantabulous Midwest and saw a man wearing a Pens shirt and hat. Let's Go Pens!!!! WOOOHOOO! I shouted at him. He pumped his fist in the air back. I tell ya, Pens pride.
Also for all of the ones that I do with guys that have kids or are married irl I'm using them as single, non-parent guys so either earlier in their lives or right now but they don't have said people in their lives.
This one has 1200+ words. Enjoy!

"Flower!" You hear Sidney yell at Marc-André Fleury at practice from center ice. You watch Sid skate over to him. "You okay? You seem a bit off," he asks his goalie concerned."Yeah man I'm alright. I'm just trying to get back in the groove ya know? I'm a little cold from my injury so I'm still trying to get back into it," Flower responds to his captain. Marc hurt his shoulder one night in a game. He over extended his arm and pulled a muscle or something when he was reaching for a puck. You don't really know the specifics but that is the gist of it. He was out for a few weeks and could only do minimal arm workouts so he could not practice any saves. You saw him around a lot in that time though because he was always around either in the dressing room, watching practice or in the weight/exercise room.
You hear Sid and Flower's exchange go down from the home bench where you are standing and watching practice. You have an internship through your college here in Pittsburgh to intern with the Penguins' GM and Coaching staff so you can learn all the basics of sports management and what goes on behind the scenes of professional sports. You need all the experience and connections you can get when you want to become a GM yourself. You hear Coach Sullivan whistle the end of practice and you look down at the papers in your hands that you were told by your boss to give to Coach Sullivan. Sullivan skates over and walks off the ice. "Coach Sullivan?" You ask as you walk after him and towards the dressing room.
"Yes?" He asks as he turns around to face you.
"I have some papers for you from Mr. Rutherford," you say as you hold the papers out for him to take.
"Oh thank you," he says as he takes the papers from you and looks at the as he turns back around and walks towards his office after he takes off his skates.
You sigh quietly as you look at the ground and turn around. Immediately you run into someone and fall over. "Oh I'm sorry," you say quickly as you stand up.
"I'm sorry," you hear him say in a french accent. You look up and see that it is Flower. "Are you okay?" He asks concerned.
"Oui. C'est bien," you respond using your high school french. (For those of you who don't speak french I will translate in these thingys. Yes. It's fine)
"Oh! Parlez-vous français?" He asks impressed, smiling. (Do you speak french?)
"Oui, je parle français un peu," you answer happily, a smile forming on your face as well. (Yes I speak a little)
"Voudriez-vous aller au diner avec moi?" He asks blushing a little from practice, standing there with all of his hockey gear on, his mask off and in his glove hand. (Would you like to go to dinner with me?)
You blush slightly, rub your hands together nervously and answer, "I would love to."
He smiles and starts heading to the locker room but soon turns around and walks back. "Are you going to be here after I change?" He asks hopefully.
"Yeah I just have to run up to Mr. Rutherford's office and grab my stuff. I'll meet you back down here. Okay?" You answer and then ask.
"Okay. Sounds good!" Marc answers before he heads off to the dressing room to shower quickly and change. After he enters the dressing room you squeal and jump up and down a few times excitedly. You run upstairs to Mr. Rutherford's office and grab your bag out if the corner of the room and the papers on the side of the table he asked you to resolve. You stuff them in your bag as you jog back down the stairs making sure not to slip. When you get back to the doors outside the dressing room you see that Marc has not come out of it yet so you wait outside. You slide your bag's strap into your shoulder and start organizing the mess inside. You hear a lot of laughing and yelling going on inside as you wait.
A few minutes later Evgeni leaves the dressing room and as he passes you he says, "Flower excited to go with you."
You smile, your cheeks turning a shade of pink and respond, "I'm excited to go with him too." Geno walks away and Marc appears a few minutes later.
"Sorry, the boys distracted me," he says apologetically as he sticks his hands in his jean pockets, pulling on his tee shirt.
"It's fine," you smile as you rest your hands on your bag's strap.
"Are you ready to go?" He asks as he starts walking towards the players' and workers' parking lot under the arena.
"Yeah," you respond following him. "Um, where do you want to go?" You ask him.
"Je ne sais pas. Où est-ce que tu veux aller?" He asks stopping before we reach the door to the lot. (I don't know. Where do you want to go?)
"What about that really good burger place you guys go after some games?" You ask hopeful. You love that place and you love when the guys, occasionally, invite you to go with them afterwards. He nods his head and opens the door to the lot. "But I'm going to take my car there so we don't have to come back afterwards," you say as you walk next to Marc and towards your car.
"Okay. Sounds good," Marc smiles and nods his head. You head over to your car and get in and start the engine. You watch Marc do the same and he pulls out of his parking spot. You leave yours too and follow him out of the lot. You both by some stroke of luck find parking spots along the street of the burger place, park and turn off your cars. He walks over to your car as you get out. He walks beside you into the burger place and grab a booth. Your conversation is effortless the entire dinner and you switch between languages at some points. After the date, which you both had a fantastic time on, is over, you exchange numbers and head home.
That night, right before you fall asleep you hear your phone ding from a text. You look over and see it is from Marc. J'ai aimé ce soir. Merci pour aller avec moi. (I enjoyed tonight. Thank you for going with me.) You can't help but smile and respond. I really enjoyed it too. Hopefully we can do it again sometime soon! You can already tell that this relationship is going to last a long time and be a complete blast.
