I loved watching the WJC this year and watching my team win 😍. It felt so good to watch them get their medals. And omg their off tune singing of the national anthem was literally the best. Anyways, I'm glad that someone requested this because my god did Clayton Keller play well in this tournament.

Hope you guys enjoy this one! Sorry it's one of my shorter ones I didn't really have an idea where it was going.... anyways, 1100+ words.

"They did it! They really did it!" I shout, jumping up and down in my living room.

"OH MY GOD THEY WON!" My best friend, Kayla, shouts back at me. She grabs my hands and we jump up and down together.

"THEY WON!"  We yell together as our smiles take over our faces, our hair getting caught in our mouths. We let go of each other and sit back down on our couch.

"I can't believe it. They won world juniors. My Clay just won world juniors," I repeat quietly over and over as they go through the line for their medals and handshakes.

We laugh as we hear their off-tune singing of the national anthem that the camera microphones pick up. "That's so funny," Kayla laughs, watching some of our classmates sing to the anthem.

We watch the team until they skate off the ice into the dressing room. A few minutes later my phone rings the all the familiar ring tone of my boyfriend. "Hello?" I pick up.

"Babe, we did it. Oh my god we did it," Clayton says into the phone. He sounds breathless, speaking quickly because of his excitement.

"I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do this Clay. I'm so proud," I gush happily. There's a pause before Clayton speaks again.

"I love you," He says, a smile clearly present on his face.

"I love you too," I smile back, blushing. "When are you coming home?"

"Soon. I can't wait to see you... and show you my new medal," Clayton practically yells into the phone. The background noise is getting louder and louder. "Babe, I have to go. But I will text you when I'm on my way back okay? I love you."

"I love you too Clay. I can't wait to see you," I respond loudly and happily.  "Bye."

"Bye love," Clayton responds before hanging up.

I bite my lip as I put my phone down, excited to see Clay again.

Kayla and I watch an episode of Grey's Anatomy before she has to go back to her place. I climb into my bed and fall asleep with my phone next to me, waiting for the moment Clay says he is back in town.

Clayton: I'm back love. Can I come over?

Y/N: Of course <3. Hurry, I miss you

Clayton: I miss you too. I will be there in ten.

I roll out of bed in the morning and put on my favorite gray pajama shorts and one of Clayton's old hockey sweatshirts I stole from him. Opening up a drawer, I pull on a pair of purple fuzzy socks because my room is always so cold. I grab a Belvita breakfast bar from the kitchen counter, taking the wrapper off and throwing it in the trash. Just after I finish the bar, there is a knock on the front door. I walk quickly to the door and open it.

"Clay," I whisper, dropping my arm off the door and wrapping both of them around his neck. His arms circle my waist, holding me to him, his face nuzzling into my hair. "I missed you so much babe."

"I missed you too," he says before pulling back out of the hug only to place his lips on mine. He moves his hands to my cheeks. I pull back slightly and bite my lip. "Let's go inside," he states, dropping his hands from my cheeks only to grab one of my hands with his along with his duffle bag that was laying on the ground next to him.

I lead him through the entryway and into the kitchen before asking, "do you want anything for breakfast? I have fruit, cereal, or some breakfast bars."

"I'll just have a breakfast bar, please," Clay says before reaching to the bowl and on the counter and taking one, unwrapping it and throwing the wrapper in the garbage. He scarfs is down and then takes my hand once again. I giggle as he leads me over to my room.

He sets his bag down on my floor and pulls out a pair of sweats to change into. "Can we just lay in bed all day please? I'm really tired," Clay asks.

"Of course Clay. Whatever you want," I answer. "How about I turn on a movie and you go into the bathroom and change okay?"

"Sounds good to me," Clayton says before walking over to the bathroom and shutting the door. I walk over to the bed, climb on top of it grab the remote. Scrolling through Netflix I find a few chick flicks that look good, a rom-com, and two good action movies that I decide to show Clay when he gets out of the bathroom. "So what did you decide?" He asks, walking over to his bag to put his clothes away. He changed into some really hip hugging sweatpants and one of his world junior cup tee shirts. Clay jumps on the bed next to me causing me to laugh as he tightly hugs me to his chest. He kisses the top of my head before saying, "I really missed you."

"I missed you too," I respond pulling up one of my favorite chick flicks. We rest in silence for a few moments before I ask, "is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days okay?"

"Whatever you want to watch is good babe," Clay says, leaning us back onto the headboard, nuzzling his nose further into my hair.

I click the play button and the story of Andi begins. I fall asleep about halfway through in Clay's warm and safe arms, knowing that I get to cheer him on for years to come.

Writing this is actually kind of weird because he is only like a year older than me.... awks lol. Anyways, I finished my senior year of high school. WOOT WOOT. So now I will have a bunch more time to write and hopefully get all of these requests pumped out hella fast. I have a list so don't worry I will (eventually) get to yours. I apologize in advance because I have been so busy with life and homework, work, college stuff, etc.

On another note, I hope you enjoyed this and if you could please press that little button with a star to vote, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
