Two Weeks Ago"Come on babe you can do it. Just one more big push," Beau says to me as I try to push out our baby from a place that should never be stretched this far. I scream out in pain, pushing my head back onto the pillow and arching my back.
"One last push Y/N. You can do this," my doctor tells me in confidence. "On he next contraction push as hard as you can."
I'm sweating and panting from the hours and hours of labor I've already had. The next contraction hits and puts me in so much pain I feel paralyzed.
"Push Y/N!" The doctor says. I push as hard as I possibly can before I hear a baby cry. "Welcome to the world little boy," my doctor says as he holds your newborn baby. "Beau, would you like to cut the cord?" He asks Beau as our baby screams in his arms. Beau nods in response and cuts the cord separating me and my newborn son. "We are going to get him cleaned off and then you can hold him okay?"
"Okay," Beau answers for me. He turns towards me and rubs his hand over my forehead and hair. "You did so good baby. We now have a baby boy because of you," Beau smiles grabbing my hand with his other hand. He kisses me forehead and whispers, "you did so good."
All I can do is smile. I now have a family. I mean before I had Beau, and I love Beau. But now, we have a real family, a kid and all. I'm snapped out of my trance when a nurse brings our baby over to me. "Here you go Mrs. Bennet," she says as she hands me my son.
"Thank you," I say smiling at my new baby.
"Is there anyone from the waiting room you would like to send in?" The nurse asks as she writes something down on a clipboard.
"Yes please," Beau says before he looks over at me. "Your parents?" He asks me and I nod my head yes in response. "And my parents and whoever from my team is here please," Beau asks the nurse. After she leaves, Beau asks me concerned, "is there anything you need babe? Water? Some food?"
"Ummm some water would be great but other than that," I respond happily as I stare at our baby boy. Beau hands me a cup of water and we exchange the baby for the water.
"He is beautiful," Beau says as he leans back and forth, brushing our baby's cheek with his thumb.
I sip my water and respond, "he is, isn't he... so for names, babe?" I ask, "we are sticking with what we decided earlier? Or do you want to change it?"
"I think that the name you picked out fits perfectly for him," Beau answered, turning his stare from our son to me.
"Bryton James Bennet it is," I respond happily, smiling at my family in front of me. Beau smiles back at me and walks over. He leans down and kisses my forehead before the door barges open with our visitors.
"My baby has a baby!" My mom and Beau's mom say together. They immediately run over to Beau after they see the baby. I scan the visitors that keep pouring into my room--my parents, Beau's parents, some of my friends and Beau's teammates. My dad walks over to me, leaning down to hug me.
"Congrats Princess," he whispers in my ear before pulling away, holding me at arms length.
"Thanks Dad," I smile warmly back.
Beau walks over to me with Bryton. "You wanna take him?" He asks holding him out to me. I nod in response before he hands me our baby.
"Family photo!" Beau's mom yells to me and Beau as she pulls out her phone. She gets several before Bryton starts to cry.
"Awe baby," I say as I rock him back and forth. He calms down after a few minutes while Beau rubs my shoulder with his hand, protectively.
"So, we've all been dying to know. What's his name?" My mom questions excitedly from the side of my bed. The entire room grows quiet as people wait to know.
I look up at Beau and he explains, "we decided on Bryton James Bennet." He smiles happily looking around the room as everyone either claps happily--our family--or whoops--his teammates.
"Can I hold him?" My dad asks, the first one to ask to hold Bryton.
"Of course Dad," I answer, handing Bryton over to him. After my dad has a firm hold on him, I lean back against my bed with Beau planting kisses on the top of my head. Bryton gets passed around the room as Corey Schneider, Beau's Goalie, walks over to us. "Congrats Beau, Y/N, you guys make one adorable baby. Bryton is a great name too. And from experience, I know you guys will be great parents," Corey states.
"Thanks man," Beau says before Bryton starts crying again.
"Y/N!" Ben Lovejoy says loudly as he walks over to me with a crying Bryton in his arms. I laugh as he hands me Bryton. "I think he's hungry. He doesn't smell and he's been sleeping," Ben explains, already knowing what newborns cry over.
"Thanks Ben," I respond as I coddle Bryton.
"You feed him and I'll get everyone out. Okay?" Beau whispers in my ear. I nod in response. "Okay, Bryton needs to be fed so... can you all leave momentarily?" Beau asks everybody. His teammates and my friends laugh as they head out of the room while our parents walk out slowly behind them.
I start feeding Bryton as Beau sits on the side of my bed watching us. "I love you. Thank you for giving me this family babe," Beau says as he rubs my leg.
I smile happily and respond, "Beau, you don't have to thank me. I want this as much as you do. I love you and Bryton so much."
He smiles and continues to rub my leg as I feed Bryton.
Now
"Babe!" Beau yells through our house to me over Bryton's crying. Ever since we came home from the hospital, Beau has been freaking out over Bryton's crying.
"What!" I yell angrily in response. All I want to do is take a freaking nap. I've been through so many months of not sleeping and I just want one nap. Can't Beau just let me sleep for an hour or two? Is that too much to ask? I get up from our bed and walk down the stairs and into the living room where Beau is pacing with Bryton crying in his arms.
"I'm so sorry to wake you, Y/N/N but I don't know what to do. He won't stop crying no matter what I do. I gave him a bottle and he only had half of it and so then I burped him and he burped a little but he didn't want the rest of his bottle and so I checked his diaper and it's clean and I keep trying to get him to sleep because I thought that that might be it but he won't stop crying and it's scaring me because I don't know what to do," Beau explains to me quickly, all in one breath. I put my hands on his shoulders knowing how scared he is. He doesn't want to mess up our kid.
"Babe. Bryton is fine. It's okay for kids to cry for no reason. Sometimes it happens. Just put him in his rocky thing and he will be fine. Now I'm going to go take a nap," I say as I rub circles on Beau's shoulders with my thumbs. He nods his head listening to my answer. "Not everything kids do makes sense."
"Okay," Beau whispers then pauses before apologizing. "I'm sorry I woke you up. I was just scared that I was doing something wrong. You're so good with him and this is the first time that you weren't in the same room as I was watching him."
"It's okay Beau. I get it. But you should know, you're doing an amazing job," I smile, proud as can be of my husband.
"I love you," Beau says leaning down to kiss me.
"I love you too," I state in between our kisses.

I LOVE THIS ONE! Omg. Thank you for requesting and I'm so sorry it took this long. Finals this year were a mess. I had so many papers and projects before my two written sit down exams and it sucked. But then I went on vacation for a week but the island I was on didn't have internet so I couldn't post anything. But hopefully I'll get some more up before New Years because I'm going to the Wisconsin Dells with my devil cousins and I'm going to sit on a chair and write. It'll be fun *cue eye roll*. Anyways enough about my issues. Did you guys like this one? Please let me know what you think! (And if you find and errors lol)
