Race to victory (Zuko x Reader)

You and Ty Lee were hanging out around the palace together a lot now. She hated Maiko as much as you did. You didn't talk to Zuko for a week. You still weren't. Poor Ty Lee was caught in the middle and Zuko was giving her stuff to tell you. You didn't answer back to any of it. One day you decided it was finally time to see Ozai and figure out what exactly he wanted you for.

"Wait for me out here." You told Ty Lee.

"Ok." She said. You took a deep breath and went in.

"Hello, apprentice YN." You bowed.

"Why have you came in here?" He asked.

"I wish to know what you want me for." You said.

"That is simply because you are very powerful. Have you mastered everything you can bend?" He asked.

"Yes sir." You said.

"Tell me, how has my son been treating you." He asked. Almost evilly.

"I have not talked to your son in many days." You said.

"Why is that. Is it because of Mai?" He asked with an evil tone.

"When Prince Zuko slayed the avatar, he also burned me in the back when I was in my equivalent to the avatar state. That is also why I have been sleeping for two months." You answered.

"So your angry." The Firelord said.

"I guess I am." You said coldly.

"Let me see where Zuko burned you." He said.

"But sir I don't think-"

"That was an order!" The Firelord said. You gulped and lifted the back of your shirt to reveal the nasty scar.

"And my son did this too you?" He asked.

"Yes sir. He did." You said.

"He is becoming quite the war hero." Ozai said proudly. Finally you had had enough.

"Are you crazy!? He almost killed me!" You shouted.

"Yeah, so?" Ozai said.

"You said you wanted me to fight for you because I'm powerful. He almost killed your best soldier!" You said.

"I don't need you! I have a million soldiers!" Ozai said.

"Then why did you want Azula to capture me!" You shouted.

"Leave! Immediately!" Ozai said.

"No! Your an evil, conniving, idiot who traded there own wife for a throne. Anybody would rather see the dragon of the west be firelord than you!" You said.

"Leave now or I'll have you thrown in jail with your not-so-powerful dragon of the west." Ozai commanded.

"Fine." You bowed in a very disrespectful manner and left. When you got out Zuko was there. You didn't know where Ty Lee was.

"I need to talk to you. Alone." Zuko said. You just turned away. You didn't even look at him. He grabbed your shoulder.

"I don't care if you say anything or not. I just need to tell you something." He said. You just nodded and followed him. He led you around the corner where no one could see you.

"I know that Aangs still out there. Katara had special water that could probably bring someone back to life. I need you to not tell anyone." Zuko said. You nodded in agreement, still not talking to him." You left and went to your room. You found Ty Lee in there.

"YN I'm so sorry. He came around the corner and I got scared so I went to your room. What did he tell you?" She asked.

"It doesn't matter what he told me. I still didn't say anything to him." You said.

"Are you ok? Ty Lee said. You started crying.

"It's not fair. He comes home, he has a girl who was SUPPOSED to be me. And he still expects me to like him." You said.

"I know. Its messed up." Ty Lee said. Later that night you had gone out to get food and you came back to your room to find a picture of you and Zuko with one of Mai's knives stabbed in your face. You rolled your eyes, tossed the picture in the trash, and went to bed.

I went ahead and updated just because I'll be at camp and they take away your phone so yeah I'll update on Saturday or Monday
