Sophie's P.O.V.
This man. Sitting here with me. He confused me so.Where did he come from? I just want that one answer.
He smiling at me, it's so contagious I feel myself start to smile too.
Letting out a little chuckle I look away, blushing in the process.
"Your smile is so beautiful."
"Oh stop. It's just a smile."
I haven't blushed this much since my... Since my mothers old boyfriend would flirt with me... I know that's wrong. Flirting with your mothers boyfriend but you can't blame me. He started it all. When she first brought him home he was quiet around me. Then the second time, whenever she left the room or when we were alone, he would try to make a move on me. I never said a thing when he did but I blushed like hell. Eventually my mother caught on to what was going on and she kicked him out. She got mad at me like it was my fault. Crazy. It turned into a whole weeks worth of arguments. Everyday. Never ending. Needless to say I didn't sleep that entire week. Then when she met someone else she became all nice and sweet for awhile. When she did really reveal what she was actually like the guys usually leave. Vince didn't. And I know why.
In the darkness I felt his hand move to hold mine. "What's wrong love?"
Through the dark I found his eyes and saw the concern there. Feeling overwhelmed with emotion and fear I couldn't stop the tears. They spilled over as my heart started picking up its pace.
Suddenly I was pulled into his arms. I could hear him comforting me with sweet nothings. Running his hands up and down my back. I was cold and hurt. He saw it in my eyes.
"Hey. Don't worry love. I'm here for you. Just talk to me."
Nobody is here for me! It's all I wanted to scream.
Last time I trusted someone with this burden of mine they went around and betrayed my trust.
It can't happen again. I can't fall for someone that easily.
Taking a breath of air I move away from his comforting touch.
"I'm fine." It's what I say as I try to wipe away the never ending tears.
While my shaking hands, ragged breathing, and never ending pool of tears tell a different story he seems to understand and gives me a small smile. I sit in his lap still as I try to calm myself down.
He pulls me close to him and runs his hands up and down my back. I'm taking deep breaths as I try not think.
Blocking everything out is a lot easier when sleeping.
Feeling warm and protected from the world I start to relax in his arms. My head rests on his shoulder as I fiddle with my fingers suddenly feeling very shy. My emotions are all over the place and I cannot contain it.
I don't even know his name.
At the thought of not knowing such an important thing I pull away suddenly. I bite my lip as I look into those eyes.
"What's wrong love?"
"I don't even know your name..."
He gives me a dazzling smile and a little laugh. No. A chuckle. I'm sure he could see the worry in my eyes as his gaze held mine.
