Nathan's P.O.V.
She sat there thinking of what to say. I stared at her face admiring the little beauty mark she has on her chin. She looks at me with fear in her eyes.

"What's wrong? Did someone hurt you?"

Tears spring to her eyes as I say those words. Something's wrong. In that moment I know that what she's about to tell me, stays between me and her; no matter what...

"Well... It started when I was nine. My mom brought a guy home and... Well. She was drunk, and so was he. -at those words I start to get the feeling of what she is about to say. Her tears are now spilling over and without thinking I reach up to wipe them away. - He came to my room just as I was starting to fall asleep... My mom was sleeping already that much I knew.. What I didn't know was what he was going to do to me. That is until he shut my door..."

She's crying much harder now and her body is shaking.

"Shh. It's okay. You don't have to say anything anymore... I understand."

I slide closer to her and put my arms around her. I start rubbing her back in a comforting manner. Her sobs start to quiet down a little. Nobody's in the park anymore. It's just me and her. The only thing on my mind right in that moment is of the person who did this to her.

He's sick. Disgusting.

She's quiet now. I'm still holding her.

"Are you okay?"

I look down at her small face and smile. She doesn't return it instead she kisses me. She's tentative at first but then she becomes forceful and hungry for my kiss.

Her lips are soft as I kiss her back. She brings her hands around my neck as I rest mine on her hips. She climbs onto my lap and continues to kiss me. My common sense kicks in and I stop her.

"Wait..."

She looks at me with embarrassment in her eyes.

"Oh."

She climbs off of me and sits down.

"Sorry... I don't know what got into me."

"No. It's okay. It's just that you were crying and with what you just told me I.. I didn't want you to...

"Didn't want me to what? Kiss you?"

"No.. I mean I liked the kiss it's just that I didn't want you to think I'm using you or anything."

"Why would I think that?" Her voice is so quiet that I almost don't hear her. She staring down at her hands. Her cheeks are flushed and her breathing is shallow.

"I don't know."

Silence falls between us, the awkward kind. I look at her and without a thought of her response I kiss her cheek. She looks up at me surprised of my gesture.
